Actually being able to wait for the real monogamous relationship is a filter against those who are not actually serious about seeking the real thing. It may mean you have to wait longer, or never get any relationship at all, but that is a reality you must face. Even the Bible advises against just having any relationship (Proverbs 25:24 and Proverbs 21:9), so I will not hear any talk of how Christianity promises finding a spouse.

Also, if you have ever broken the rule of choosing not to wait for that real monogamous relationship, you are not serious about finding one. You cannot complain about the issues of the dating market if you actively participate in the parts you are now complaining about if your complaints are only about the fact that it is no longer convenient to you.

Why yes, I do want a real romantic monogamous relationship with someone. Or did. But nobody wanted one with me, so I finally gave up.

So I just do my own thing and if some gal wants to give it up sometime, I'll think about it. But since I'm just as invisible now as I was when I was looking, my time, money and energy is saved for more productive efforts than you, sweetie.

I don't anticipate 2020 being any different.
