Trump is the president of a commercial, for-profit corporation. I really don't give a shit what he does, as it I am not a member of his organization.

I will say this though, that he is doing a good job with the cards he was dealt. He went into this gig thinking he would be an actual top government official, able to pass policy and enforce legislature that adheres to the limitations found within the constitution. As soon as he was elected, his entire demeanor changed. My theory is the secret service explained what his role actually was and it had very little to do with the constitution. They probably also explained that none of his decisions required constitutional oversight and if enjoyed his appearance into this fraud and his life, then he should probably just play along nicely.

Having said that, his political stance and personal views does effect a certain field-view of 'hope' within the people. So, I suppose minimally, I enjoy that about him, but I am against looking up to political affiliates and commercial authorities as religious zealots, so it's a torn sentiment.

A.) how problematic or dire you think the situation is,

The country is the brink of economic collapse. What do you mean "dire"? Congress critters kicking the can down the road only goes so far before it ends up in a ditch. What do you think will happen once their loaners no longer have any need for their bonds? The more people that willingly give themselves to the social cloud, the less authority in place to instruct government for the benefit of the People. Actual de jure government is almost non-existent right now and nearly everyone I talk to has no clue why that it is. The fraud is that current "government" is actual functioning judicial body protecting private property and private rights, but they are not. They are not beholden to the People, only their corporate loaners. The organizations themselves, the Alphabet Soup Depts. have public shares, which are not owned by the People. They have completely commercialized the effect of government and called themselves the same name. How much longer do you think a foreign interest can act as government fraudulently before they overstep their clear interest of the people and conquer them, legally and physically?

B.) what the possible overall avenues for the nation and the world are going forward

There is only one possibility left for a free people to exist. That is to remove their contributions from those that wish to enslave them. This works the same way in all Roman Civil Law standing governments. If you want freedom, you must prove you can enjoy it and be responsible for it. There is no other way, but to learn how the law works so that you can develop your own weapons and honeypots that deceivers, hypocrites, and corrupt governing bodies use.

C.) how you yourself navigate the situation, and

Navigate? There is no short cut. There is no ship from which to sail. There is no tracks to reuse. You have to pave your own way. You have to belligerently create your own tracks, to avoid the falling rocks on the paths used by the masses. That is the only way. You cannot follow someone elses map and also claim you are a free traveler.

D.) any insights, really, that you have to offer.

Study law like your life depends on it, because it surely does. Only then, once you have understood the injustices against you are you able to prove and hold accountable those who wish to fraudulently use your agency and labor for their own nefarious interests. Only then are you able to be the authority for your government, to provide benefit to the people, and punish those corrupted officials that stand in the way of freedom and liberty for all. If I were you, I would study your Countries constitution and determine the legality of your freedom. I would then go through an existing contracts you have, read all the laws around them and figure out how to sever them, or prove they were never valid to begin with. That is what you must do anyways, so better get going on it before you lose the ability to claim you were ignorant to the fraud and become an accessory to it instead.
