Most women who have a laundry list have one over very superficial traits that have nothing to do with character.

Height, face, body, income, teeth, clothes, car, etc.

If the laundry list women had included things like 'good with kids, emotionally stable, reliable, has good relationships with friends and family, educated, etc' there's be fewer single moms.

While vigorously responding to the advice she was given, she failed to actually accept any of it and digest it. She had something to say about everything while asking a question meant to illicit a contemplation on her part.

It is clear by every other thoughtless rebuttal she made that she was not going to take any criticism about what she was asking. The most important answer she got, and it was repeated over and over, was that she cannot simply have high expectations without bringing an equal value to the table. Everything she says is "me!me!me!". When someone clearly says "you need to have expectations that speak upon your character, so if people are saying your expectations suck, they you need to work on your character" and she will just deflect and hamster out, "but I have quality expectations because I am a quality person". Then list of qualities she doesn't have because she is having this discussion in the first place.

She says women need to have high expectations to prevent becoming a single mother, but her problem is she doesn't understand what those expectations need to be. Even when pointed out that they are often superficial and it doesn't matter to the degree that which they are presented, they will not yield a quality man that will sacrifice himself for her and his children. In the face of this comment, her only thought is, "well, he needs to have good income, I'm not trash". She is a hopeless wreck that serves as the epidemy of the female hamster run off its course.

Nobody is going to change her mind about it, she just wants to be validated for having unnatural and unobtainable expectations about her fantasy life. Let her live in her stubborn bubble of hot air.

Its not about being picky on looks, height, salary, amount of assets he possess, its more to do with whether he would be a good father and husband, a good role model for your kids, and other virtues. What people are criticizing single mothers are they picked the wrong guy because they often don't look at these qualities.
Those men criticize single mothers for being too picky because they are used up single mothers most likely post wall and yet with all the baggages still they are picky af. In fact some even raise their standards although their values have been significantly depreciated. So she is associating things into different stages. Before having kids, of course be careful selecting your mate. But you have already failed lol you don't have much choice but to lower your standards.

Bitch, please. What the hell are you talking about? Graduate students get a stipend on top of their tuition and fees if they do teaching or research. Even if you got money from an external source, it's called a "grant" or "fellowship", never a "scholarship." But she'd have had to actually go to grad school to know that.

I'm assuming she made the whole thing up. Claiming "I got a full ride scholarship" wasn't enough for her, so she had to add "to graduate school" to sound more impressive. And everybody clapped.

The standards aren't that bad. If a person does not "avoid alcohol and smoking and drugs", you shouldn't intimately associate with them anyway let alone make a family with him. Drop them in the ditch like a live grenade isis threw your way and take cover.

Responsible, religious and employed aren't unreasonable things to ask either.
