Purpose: To clarify a bit of information that I think is not examined here in enough depth and to provide a more concise view of why 'nice guys' cannot get laid.
To develop my point it is necessary that I go off into a bit of a tangent, so bear with me.
To start I must mention social class. What is not discussed enough here is that social class makes a large difference in alpha and beta behaviour.
Imagine drawing a line through the direct middle of middle class. On either side of that line, alpha and beta behaviour differ in ways that are worth discussing. This is based on my experience on the upper side of that line, it is not necessarily true on the other side, but there is information that is relevant to both. This could warrant a whole other discussion but it is not the thrust of this piece.
To begin, I will take a childhood friend of mine and make him an archetype. Call him Joseph. Joseph was on the school's cross country team, he volunteered after school, he never ever used cuss words, he treated everyone with respect. Talking to this guy made you feel as if his entire attention was only on you. He was traditionally handsome and from a good upper middle class family. He always treated women with respect, never cheated, and dated 8-10's.
In short this guy was a nice guy, one of the nicest you ever met.
His niceness was not any hindrance to getting laid.
I, on the other hand, was from a good family until my parents got divorced. I was raised by a single mother and adopted her feminine ways. Children learn by observation. I ended up the poor kid in a rich town and, of course, fell in with the delinquents. I got laid too, by hotter girls than I did for a long time. This was because I lucked out to be good looking in the semi-androgenous gothic-ish way that was popular in the late 90's. And I smoked pot and cigarettes and talked back to teachers and all that 'bad boy' stuff that will get your penis wet in high school but not beyond.
I also got bullied and acted effiminate. I could get laid but never get a gf for long.
This brings me to the crux of my point.
Being a 'nice guy' has nothing to do with whether you are nice or not. I depends on whether you project femininity or masculinity. Joseph projected masculinity and was practically a saint. I acted like an ass and did the bad boy stuff but my gestures and natural reactions were feminine.
This is the crucial difference.
We should stop with the misleading 'nice guy' vs 'asshole' discussion and get to the heart of the matter.
Body language and reactions, motions, cadence of speaking, frame even... Is it masculine or feminine?
This is a crucial difference that I think should be better examined because it is a more clear reason why alphas and betas are not the same.
Synopsis: 'Nice guy' and 'asshole' actually describe the way you react to social situations and should be discussed as masculine and feminine.
For those who are curious, I went through the beta stage after highschool and generally acted like a bitch and was treated as such. I later learned through observation how to be what you call a dark triad. (I honestly do not know why people think that this is a good thing to be, it is not.) When I get the time I intend to post one I have been working on for a while that discusses the dark side of dark triad and why it is ultimately unfulfilling.
Thank you.
