I don't know if it's just me but lately it seems like everyone is on edge and biting each other's heads off and I suspect it is COVID19 related. I'm the type of person to chat or reach out or text but all of it seems to be backfiring. My sister unloaded about trying to potty train right now (actually a surprising number of people are right now) - I gave her some advice and she took it as me criticising her parenting. I probably should have been able to tell all she wanted was empathy but text can be hard for that. Moreoever, I'm getting exhausted with having to be the person to assess other people's needs and wants and cater accordingly. It's the blessing and curse of a self-aware person who has a general understanding of people. I was having some struggles with my husband and talked to my mother in law an she told me I ruined her day and bit my head off there, too. I don't know what's going on, but it seems even in physical isolation, the best thing is social isolation right now. I'd be interested to hear how COVID19 and everything going on is impacting your relationships and friendships and if you've noticed anything different.
