Haven’t posted here in a while, honestly the sub isn’t what it used to be. But I’m stuck at home bored out of my fucking mind, I figured I’d share some little things you can do to keep striving to be better every day, even during this bullshit:

  1. your phone has app limits. Use them. I personally do not have ANY social media because I managed to kick that habit on my own years ago thanks to this sub. But I still find myself on Reddit way too often. So I set a one hour a day limit in my phone for reddit. Everyone thinks kids these days have short attention spans and while that’s true to an extent, you literally just spent 2-3-4 hours focusing on nothing but your phone and your thumb. Put limits in place on time wasting apps and realize there are much better things to do with your time, which brings me to my next tip:

  2. walk. Seriously go for a fucking walk. No one hates cardio more than me, trust me. But walking? Well anyone can do that. MOST people walk about a 15-20 minute mile. I walk 2 miles a day (on top of all my other walking). Sometimes all at once, sometimes split, but I make sure to set aside time to go for a walk without my phone and without my shirt. 15 minutes a day in the sun is all you need for a tan without sunburn (know your skin type. Obviously This is for people who can tan. If you can’t. Wear sunscreen and a shirt and hat) try and go either in the morning or afternoon when the sun is loser. Check the UV index, I personally shoot for between 2-5. On top of tanning, walking helps you burn body fat tremendously. I started walking just to burn off this last bit of body fat because I didn’t want to run, and obviously it will take longer, but hell, it beats running. I can go on and on about the benefits of walking; you’ll meet new people, if you’re in shape, chicks will approach you, sometimes you just see weird shit you wouldn’t see driving, you have time to yourself to actually think with more blood flow to your brain since your heart is pumping faster, you increase your daily BMR, allowing you to eat more or burn more fat. But most importantly, you’re getting off your lazy ass, away from your useless apps and doing something productive, which brings me to tip numero three-oh:

  3. do something. Anything. Go brush your teeth. Go fold that laundry I know is sitting in your basket/dryer still. Make your fucking bed. Wash the dishes. All these tasks seem menial and boring, but guess what, you just cleaned your whole house before you know it and your breath smells nice. Doing SOMETHING starts a chain reaction and you’ll just start doing other things as a result. You all have all the time in the fucking world now, none of you should have a dirty house or anything that needs fixing by the end of the week. No excuses. And once you finish cleaning the house, you can learn to:

  4. cook. If you haven’t learned by now how fucking gross people are and how quickly disease spreads, well you’re living under a rock. Restaurants were the first to close because they are a repository for disease. Everyone here who has ever worked at one knows just how gross they are. When have you ever had a friend work at Taco Bell and just been like “you know? This place is so clean and lovey to work and no one sweats in the food at all or eats things out of the trays because this Taco Bell is a poster child for cleanliness” buy a fucking grill and learn to cook for yourself. It’s cheaper, better for you and honesty just fun to make your own meal. It’s a great skill to have and I also use it to vet women, because if you can’t cook better than me, what are you even here for?

Get at it. These are just 4 simple things you can implement into your life right now to plant the seeds for something better in the future. I started doing these years ago (obviously not the app limits, I just deleted my accounts which is a better option for you hardcore crazy fucks out there).

Bonus tip: buy a scale that can track your body fat and muscle mass. I use renpho in Amazon. For like 20$ and has a free app that logs everything.
