Most swear words and insults have origins that are long lost in history. However people still use them.

I so agree that it is too early for this one though. it does basically mean someone controlled by an external person specifically a woman so its like 50% correcet.

This happens all the time. The word "boomer" was recently co-opted to refer to any adult who doesn't know what the latest meme is about. Same thing happened with "incel" to refer to someone who finds any fault with a woman , but with a much more negative connotation. Seeing them used wrong pisses me off. But it is very interesting to see how mgtow words like "simp" become mainstream.
