I work. I toil. I strive. I follow all the rules. And still a woman chooses to put me down because of my gender and the way I think.

I’m a writer. A GOOD writer at that. I can weave a story that will enthrall audiences. But it’s not your skill that gets you far as a writer, it’s who you know. So I’m forced to go at it the old way, scraping my way up from the bottom. Publishers won’t even look at you unless you have an agent, and guess who is gatekeeping that job? That’s right, females. And I’m the only idiot on the block that seems to think male issues are worth writing about. But to them if it’s not pushing some LGBTQ agenda, it ain’t worth considering for publishing. Somehow the male youth of today just ain’t worth the time and effort. Let them wander the minefield of liars, cheaters and manipulators.

There are only so many rejection letters that can be shoved down my throat. All for the exact same reason: “It’s just not popular right now.”

I’m tired of playing by their broken rules. I’m tired of striving for a system that doesn’t care. I’m tired of lies being the natural setting of women. The only thing they see of me is a workhorse and just how hard I can break my back for them.

God, I wish I could fight. There are a LOT of problems that could be solved with a hard punch to the face. A lot of really stupid problems.
