Wow. I was an active member just last year. Late last year. Left due to lack of leadership. No mods to protect from the big banhammer.

Yeah. I was there right before the fall. Active member for years and everything. I left due to lack of proper leadership at the time. Never knew it got so bad that it got banned. Rotten from the inside out in just a year.

Unlike female which naturally having a habit of teaming up, male constantly see each other as competition and enemy, this biological property is one of problem I am most worrying about. What on EARTH are you talking about? Have you studied human behavior? Females are so much worse to each other than men. They mentally torture one another in competition. Don't let anyone fool you, a females worst enemy is another female, and they know it. https://youtu.be/LGuml-tc75A This video is not far from th…

They are willingly taking advantage of vulnerable men for money. If it wasn't lucrative conning men, they wouldn't be doing it. This is basic economics. It's also the longest existing profession in human history. "Taking advantage" is ridiculous because adult services have existed for thousands of years. And will continue to exist long past us. Nobody can change that. Governments have tried and failed miserably. Either they are Adults making rational decisions that have consequences or they are …

As opposed to a soldier getting shot up on the front lines? Making comparisons of a military career VS any civilan career is an entirely different experience, let's save that for a another discussion. How about a migrant worker picking berries? What about the men that work at an oil field that can potentially have their arms ripped off? Those are examples of failures in our capitalist system. Why bring them into the discussion? Obviously we should be regulating them better, but corporate greed w…

Their own post history is full of condescending backlash. They only know how to tear people down, zero effort in building people up. Their home/work life must be miserable.

I think it's that pride that helps level the decision a bit. Makes you really question if there is a better way to make a buck. The times I've been broke in my life I just went out and found the physical labor jobs nobody wanted. Trash collection, deep cleaning, feces/vomit cleaning and medical waste removal. All of those jobs had regulations and equipment to keep me safe. Web cam models have none of this.

I have a psychology background and my main focus was on adult relationships. Just find it weired how some random 18yo girls whos only "skill" is that they are are female make much more money with just posting some asspics than people who work 40h/week And while they do it they suffer multiple mental breakdowns from all their toxic clients. I personally don't think selling your sanity early on in life is a good gamble. Seriously I can imagine that this has some effect on guys that already are str…

And your lack of research on the subject tells me you don't actually care about the subject, you just want to argue. Since you don't know this yet I'll explain it: In college you are not provided the textbooks a majority of the time. That means you must purchase your own books for whatever class you are attending. There are multiple professors who teach the same course but with different textbooks. Me trying to give you specifics from textbooks that are so generalized would be like asking me to …

you are responsible for providing sources which proves your point is correct. Thankfully on the internet this is not true. While it may be polite and functional. It's not my responsibility. I also am not here to sway a highscoolers opinion. When you're done with your education you can come back and debate it.
/r/MensRights18/07/21 01:17 PM

Sorry. No. I'm not responsible for your lack of basic education. I can't cram an entire semesters worth of information into your head. You can go to your local college and obtain the information yourself.

This is human biology? College entry level education. If you have a medical background, you have to know this. I'd give you sources... But they are all college bio books. Did you take bio in college? It's also taught in developmental psychology if you had those classes. It's also why we should be teaching these things in MIDDLE SCHOOL!

This type of thinking has me facepalming how ignorant the poster is. (Before I go into this explanation, understand that it also applies when you swap the genders) When a person hits puberty your body tosses a motov cocktail of hormones to get your body into the process of growing into the adult phase. This also kick starts all the reproductive instincts. Teens emit HEAVY pheromones into their environment without them even knowing. This is natural, every human does this. But at the teenage level…

Double standards. We as a society haven't put the time or effort into male role reform and acceptance after women did it. It seems that when you only address the needs of half your population, the other half gets left behind. Men have to play by the old rules while women are judged by a new playbook.

More often, people start to feel uncomfortable quick and change the subject. If we don’t talk about it, it never happend kinda feel. Remember that I don't have that many emotional outlets to speak openly about trauma like that, so opportunities to discuss it happen only every 5 years or so. It's not socially acceptable, or affordable.

I can't make you read constructively. The point and even the blame is written in plain English. So do whatever you want. Either you can't be taught or you don't want to learn, maybe you just want to argue. I'm not wasting any more time on this for you.

Toxic Masculinity does not mean that all Masculinity is toxic, So why use the term than? You will only confuse your target audience by using the term in this manner. but you should also not make the same mistake and misinterpret it when it's not used so broadly. It's not used broadly by the people who abuse the term to attack men. They use it specifically and with misunderstood malice. 'Toxic masculinity' is just toxic behaviour in the context of masculine gender stereotypes, it's a sub group of…
/r/MensRights08/06/21 10:00 AM
1

But I don't feel this proves that all traditionally masculine stereotypes are positive. Nobody has claimed that any form of stereotype is positive. The only positive form of a stereotype is in comedy and that is used to teach us NOT to behave that way. this isn't how evolution works unfortunately. A trait has to be significantly harmful to such a degree that it is breed out. You're confusing traits and behaviors. A trait is something that is hardwired into our DNA, two ears, taste buds, testoste…

You say that "There is no such thing as "toxic masculinity" only toxic behavior", then go on to justify this by saying "Core masculine traits in humans and in many animals has helped these species thrive thousands of years" which seems to be implying "masculinity that descended from biology is not toxic". Is that correct? Bingo. You then go on to say "If you want to know where the recent trend of toxic behavior in BOTH men and women in America is from look no further than national [single mother…
/r/MensRights08/06/21 07:26 AM

This is what I'm wondering about. You support this by saying that masculinity comes from biology, and that toxicity actually comes from single mothers. That's not what I said. Try reading it again.

You're attempting to oversimplify a complex question. That doesn't work in science. Social or physical. Perhaps try reframing your initial question?

No.
/r/MensRights08/06/21 06:36 AM

So what do you call things like the idea that men should defend women/their home/their country? Evolution. The male biology is literally better at handling challenges like this. This is why platoons of female soldiers do statistically worse than male. The male body is just better suited for it. War never changes. Just behaviors that people have and just happen to disproportionately affect men? Yeah. That's what comes with the biology of a male. Try and paint it anyway you like, but that dispropo…

/r/MensRights07/06/21 10:57 PM

That would be denying the thousands of years males have been doing so. And ignoring the multitude of animals that successfully do it every day. It's a system that works when the gears are in proper place. You only want to fight the symptom of the problem. It's time to focus on the cure.

It's refreshing that you're attempting to stand up and help others, a trait that is rare these days. But knowing your enemy and the battle is just as important as fighting it. Take that outrage and channel it into something productive that PROVES that those toxic femininity types are wrong. Lashing out at them will only prove them right and perpetuate the cycle.

Picking a fight with the worst of the worst online is not standing up for ourselves. There will always be a cesspool of idiots festering somewhere on the internet. Let them feel sorry for themselves. They have brainwashed themselves to believe they are all entitled to only the best men. Yet 20% of the population of men can't be in a relationship with 100% of the population of women. They would have to have 5 girlfriends each to meet those ridiculous demands. And I doubt those women would meet the standards of those men. So 80% of all women cry/scream/complain/throw tantrums and it's all their own fault.

You won't be able to adopt. Today's foster services are tightly controlled by the same oppressive systems. If you're not a married couple (usually cis and white) they will make the process a living hell.

/r/MensRights20/04/21 06:58 PM

That's because the "active" part of "activism" is hard. Complaining on the internet is easy. Our system doesn't create many opportunities to help one another without great sacrifice. And this isn't going to change until men start getting up and doing instead of wondering when someone else is going to do something about it. Will you be the next leader among men?

You do have to accept reading that women are bad though, because unfortunately there's currently too much bad to exclude the good. The system has failed us, the way people exist in it is too flawed. You were raised a woman, you grew up with this privilege, probably influenced by the same stereotypes that influence other women to abuse their power over men, so maybe the system didn't fail you completely, but to a certain extent it has failed all women - think of toxic femininity - and all of us (…

It's a tragedy. The heralding force of "equality" that was Feminism has now spiraled into a toxic female supremacists group. An ad hominim attack is when an individual makes personal attacks in a debate instead of staying on point. It's also a sign that he was losing any credibility to his claims. Hate is like a virus. It spreads rapidly from the people who spew it. It's also addictive as the people feeling it get a sense of pleasure and justification while they hurt others. I found out you're a Men's Rights Activist who considers himself MGTOW. Those are two different lines of thinking. Mens Rights think that they can work with the other to build empathy together. MGTOW believes there's no way to work, so they drop out. You can't work with someone and then go your own way from them at the same time. Why not? Would you not consider my opinion a worthless opinion? No. I wouldn't. It would be one of many completely possible points. If you're MGTOW, of course you would. That is a "No true sctosman" fallacy. Isn’t the whole point of MGTOW to go our own way? How is going on dates and having casual sex MGTOW? The core idea of MGTOW is non participation in a broken system. Going on dates is not inherently bad, just be more aware and careful about the people you choose to associate with. While I wouldn't condone "casual sex", I would encourage safe sex. People are going to doubt you at first. The opposition has designed it that way. They don't want you to be vocal, they want you to stay silent. But only when we communicate the issues can we face them. Talk to people anyway, you will be surprised that there are other young men out there that are suffering in silence, and they need someone like you to speak up. Use facts and statistics to back up your claims. Debate and challenge naysayers. Be loud, or be crushed by the system.

It's because the leaders of MGTOW in its early days didn't even attempt to reign in extremists. ANY philosophy when taken to the extreme doesn't work. Not quite, a statement like "men are privileged" is useless, but you can discuss it in specific contexts, for example "when the ship is sinking, women and children have the privilege of being given priority when assigning lifeboats." And yet that privilege means nothing in a court of law. In fact, may even become the opposite. Why not analyze the rules and regulations that create situations like that instead of blaming it on a whimsical up in the air and nearly undefinable concept like "privileg…

You do know the concept of gender is a LOT older than feminism, right? Heck, it has Latin roots. It's society that has allowed people to twist it. Sciences like biology and anatomy still use it as a classification system just fine. Also, why are you quoting my quoting? Why not just take your argument back to OP? I'm against their definition of it.

While I understand this is an opinionated post, lambasting feminism without solid information to back up your reasoning is not a good use of your time. We're not here to spread hate.

Honorable. Honesty, fairness, or integrity in one's beliefs and actions: a man of honor. This is exactly what is needed right now.

Feminism has two main parts, the movement which advocates from women's rights, and the academic side which covers gender theory and even intersectionality. How do you feel about either side? The main part that advocates for women's rights is a fundamental process that western society has needed for a modern life. Representation is an ongoing neverending process that every gender/race/ideology must stand up and fight for if they want to be recognized and respected. The problem we have is the indi…

I can advocate for prisoners being able to reduce their prison sentences part. Especially right now with prisons being hotspots for covid. "A woman is the most important institution in our family structure. A woman’s absence disturbs the entire family system. Women get themselves reformed very fast and also develop a sense of remorse for the crime committed by them and they are less likely to go back to their old ways again." But this reasoning is ridiculous and naive.
/r/MensRights08/11/20 01:18 PM

I'm sorry to hear that. Our social systems in the west are mucked from the ground up right now. You should not be judged on your sexual preferences. As long as it's not harmful to yourself or anyone else, you should be free to choose.

It's a strange concept. Hate. I would like to claim that hate is not a driving force in the unionization of men, but it is. I think there is a clear difference between someone asking for help, someone asking for attention and someone who is lashing out in pain. It's more about putting that hate to a productive end, not a destructive end. Though anyone taking the higher moral ground right now will brand us heretics for even thinking we could possibly hate. How can any leader thrive under those co…

Picture a normal guy, who his entire life wanted nothing but to have a real and honest romantic relationship with an attractive girl. This was your first mistake. "Attractive girl" usually comes with a closet of disgusting skeletons. Most likely she is attractive for all the wrong reasons. The one thing that worries me is that it forces you to initiate an aggressive situation in front of your child. Psychology that sucks, your kid should not have to witness that this early. It sends confusing messages. But it may be the only way to get these teachers to understand. You will probably have to sit down with your child and explain it to him too why you did what you had to do. Good luck man.
/r/MensRights15/09/20 03:47 PM

If they aren't listening to you with rational discussion, you have to jump on poor behavior immediately when it happens. If you hear a teacher act this way, interrupt, make a stink of it, make sure they understand the way you feel immediately when they do it. It sucks that we have to do this in this day and age, but it’s a challenge of our time.

Your initial post doesn't lead me to believe you. You had already found an ideology "The patriarchy" to blame and wanted to teach us men that the reasons we're complaining is actually our own fault. Right now MRA's are pushing back against a lot of feminist forged malicious agendas that have been force fed into our society over the last 50 years. Does this make feminism bad? No. Does it mean that there are women out there that will abuse their power? Of course, they are human after all. Feminism and Men's rights are two sides of the same coin in an eternal struggle to flip to the other side. And this is ok. Men and woman are different. This is why we are attracted to each other. But were al…

I have a really good quote for this: "I’m sorry that this is something that you experienced, but it’s not the same for everyone. Your personal experience does not dictate everyone else’s." The truth of it is that males run into just as many doubt issues, just in different conditions. Also effects of the patriarchy still exist and not only America exists. Correct. But let's fight the battles we can win. If you want to sway other cultures, you might have better success with philosophy.

Parts of many things still remain in our society. We can thank Nazi scientists for many a technological wonder. But you don't see us with the Nazi flag outside our homes. We used to be a patriarchal society, but we are no longer. We have laws in place to make sure of it. Also in everyday life where men are take more seriously than women. What proof of this do you have?

Defining it as "female nature" will usually tick most people off because of the oversimplification of the concept. It's really just human nature, with a differing set of goal values. Men and women have a few fundamental differences, naturally they make males/females better at certain tasks and goals. Humans are intrinsically steered toward goals that they can most easily achieve. This will inevitably create scenarios where women want different persons/places/things than men. Explain it THAT way …

It's the internet. People believe plenty of things. You can choose to believe it or not. You'd have to forge a better relationship with me to give out more personal information on the event. Why not both? Go get treated for the trauma, then report the incident to the police once the therapist makes a judgment call about the situation. And the quip about empathy is because your a little puss ball that has never had to actually be in a courtroom. I can tell because I've been judged by a jury and been on a jury myself. Your cold logic would make the prosecution or defender toss your butt out. You have to have some a shred of empathy to judge fairly, even the lawyers know that.

I'll never know. The cops laughed me into a crying stupor when I tried to file a report. One of the younger sheriff's had to relieve them because of how aggressive they treated me. When you drink there are several levels of inebriated. Level 1: Tipsy. (1-3 beers or shots) You feel warm and good. She used my Facebook account to learn that I was out drinking with the boys. She waited, then swooped in to "take me home" when I couldn't say no. I was a virgin simp, and too nice for my own good. She had an agenda and got what she wanted. What little I can remember is the screaming in the back of my head telling me this was wrong. I retreated half way though to my own room and passed out. I would suppress that evenings events for years after. It would take therapy to get it to resurface.

Yes. And so do men. It's a human thing. A mental self defense mechanism that keeps us sane after a massively traumatic event. Thing's I've learned over 30 years about what is acceptable and what is not, body hair wise: 1: Try shaving your head at least once in your life to see if you have a nicely shaped head. This is because if you one day begin to suffer from male pattern baldness, you will have much less stress by just shaving your head every 3 days instead of staring at yourself in the mirror. 2: A well trimmed beard (or beard/mustache combo) is acceptable 90% of the time, even in academic and professional settings…

I remember when it all came crashing down too. I stuffed the memory so deep and told myself that it wasn't anything. But it was. And years later it came boiling out. I cried so much remembering the pain. Nobody believed me. Nobody cared. The police laughed and blamed me. It will heal over time though. MGTOW is an ideology that practices social distancing from all women and encourages self improvement. Why not just find new people that won't sit there and put you down with their judgment. There is an easy 3 part rule to judgement. You will be judged based on 3 things when you're an adult: 1# Your work. The quality of your work shows the effort you put into your life. 2# The people you associate yourself with. MGTOW is a simple methodology. You simply remove as much female influence from your life as possible, and focus on work/aspirations/self growth. You're not paying attention. Andy Weir's success hinged on the fact that his writing was a popular subject. Why write to help people if I'm just going to pander to an audience? Nothing is learned through that. The problem is the gate keeping at the start of the major leagues. But since male problems are not popular right now, the odds are ridiculously stacked against me.

Ah, you must believe I have infinite time. Writing the book series, publishing it, marketing it and hold a 40 hour a week job. Bravo. Problem solved. No one can do all of that at once. That's why the system exists as it does.
/r/MGTOW11/03/20 10:21 AM

If you want to dead end at self publishing, sure. But directors and producers only see that "self published" title as a snub to their system. I make good money with my 9-5. What I need is notoriety.
/r/MGTOW11/03/20 10:12 AM

It's not about the money. I've already self published for two years now. It has done little for my notoriety. While the publishing system is heavily flawed, you can't snub it from the bottom. And a few extra bucks a month won't furthur my goals.
/r/MGTOW11/03/20 10:10 AM

I make plenty of money. And I've already been self publishing for two years now. A hundred extra bucks a month dosen't build notoriety. The producers and directors at the top see that "self published" title as an insult to the system that put them there. If you don't respect their system, why should they respect you? I've known a few reputable people at the top and the answer is always the same: Get yourself an agent.

Men's rights activism is an action. That follows a directed ideology. One that promotes equality of the sexes. No men's rights activist is running around fighting the good fight at random. There has to be an organizational structure, or nothing gets accomplished. That's literally what the others are doing! I curious, why do you think feminists extremists are not egalitarian? Because anyone who tries to preach that males or females as a singular group are superior, is met with the inevitable trut…

They have been oppressed by organizations in the past. And they are oppressed by certain organizations now. Nobody is claiming that they aren't. But that dosen't give anyone the right to oppress men because of it. There is no real difference between egalitarianism, feminism, humanism or mens rights activism. It's like asking the difference between a pretty bow and a badass bandana. They are both made of the same damn material. Who cares what color you paint it or how you tie it?
/r/MensRights17/02/20 08:43 AM

By comparison? Not much. It just happened to jump the bandwagon before those other ideologies did. A few of those ideologies distinctly did a 180 after feminism introduced the idea. You're pressing an issue of semantics, what is your actual question?

Thank you for this information! I'm going to study it. I personally find the conflict of men vs women these individuals have created to be humorous. Logically any organization that follows an extremist ideology that either men or women are superior, are ultimately overtaken by an organization that utilizes the advantages of BOTH men and women. In short, men and women working together is the superior option. But how we define "equal" will forever be in debate because men and women are different. …

Ok. It's a satire. How is this related to MGTOW?

Ug. This looks horribly cherry picked. Davide Mastracci needs to work on his journalism.

You're asking a simplified general question that has a massively complex answer. If you want the answer it's this: Raise the morale and standards of living, of males, and they will stop killing themselves as often. That answer is nowhere near as simple as it sounds. If you want more concrete information you'll have to ask a more defined question.

It already seems that you have done your due diligence when it comes to researching the subject. I've been placed in the same kind of predicament lately and it boiled down to two things: A: Do I want to risk my offsping having less enjoyable sex in his future? B: Do I want to risk women in the future seeing him as less desirable a partner? You have a tough choice to make. Discussion with your SO is important. Make certain you and him make this decision together.

Every movement has extremist groups and bandwagon groups. The change that is different from the last huge social moment in the west, is mass worldwide communication. Before, you could just quietly silent them or easily shift into damage control. Not anymore. A better use of your time would be to attempt to sit down and discuss the merits of the MRA rather than bashing their views. Aggression toward these groups will only fuel the flame.

Except that we have existing examples of human history where those biological "internals" drove us in completly different directions. Heck, we still have tribunal societies today that act and perform outside of this biological expression. If MGTOW is so deeply rooted, why don't we have any recorded history of a similar concept before this day and age?

Q1: No there are no specific areas of the brain that are causing this. Nor are the connections. Q2: The MGTOW response is not an uncommon one. When a conflict is pesented, there are only a few core options to pick. A: Fight it. B: Accept it. C: Dismiss it. MGTOW falls into C. If enough of the culture adopts the new response, change is inevitably made. Q3: See answer one. These arising problems are social and cultural problems, not biological ones. Over the course of recorded history there hasn't…

You seem to be aware of the problem with the people acting on your reputation. Just be cautious around them and you'll be fine. Keep doing what you're doing.

We'll you're taking good steps to stop the chaos. Keep that rational head of yours and present the correct facts. Every cause has stray people, even ours. More posts reminding them why we are here should help qwell some of the off the handlebars antics. Just don't think too harshly of them when they flounder a bit.

Ignore that guy. Helping people for the sake of helping them is awesome of you. Keep it up. As for the situation with the two, tell them that they should stand up to those accusations quickly and correct them. The girl should just quickly tell the truth and the guy just hang out with her like normal. If people want to stare, let em. If you see an improper behavior from your peers, it's good to let them know and correct the improper stereotype.

While I agree wholeheartedly with your idea, there does need to be some appeasement. There are multiple conflicting sides to this. If we only ever stone wall the opposition, nothing gets done. Circumcision? Yeah let's stand up and stop that! Some random troll making an insulting meme? Eh, let em vent a little. Pick your battles wisely. This is going to be a long conflict.

Good point. But you should show the poster a better alternative place to post so that they can be productive about it. Complaining for the sake of complaining doesn't help anyone.

I'm a fantasy writer. So I'm always looking for ways to teach my target audience. I try to aim for lessons that are rarely taught, or awareness of issues that were not previously known. My work usually comes off a bit parable'ish, but hey it works. What would be a suggestion for the issue you presented here? How do you reach the next generation of people to make them aware of our current cultural tantrums?

And to answer your question: I don't know. I have never seen a situation where a society would do that. ( BTW BTW, The person in question here would only need to tell me "No, that is incorrect." Or "No, that is not what I intended." And that would have been an acceptable response. But that was not the case. Alpoenetic came back and explained that more complexity was not addressed. And it needed to, before an accurate answer could be given. I in turned thanked them for that. That IS how active li…

I don't understand. You trailed off there.
/r/MensRights16/05/18 06:17 PM

I think I'm starting to understand. By your explanation here, woulden't that mean men have a higher value (on a world scale)? If so, dosen't that mean the "disposable male" concept is shaped by a warped social value rather than logic or reason?
/r/MensRights16/05/18 06:05 PM
2

Ah. Very insightful. Thank you for this.
/r/MensRights16/05/18 04:28 PM

Thanks, you are correct. Spellcheck has a mind of its own sometimes. I've read though tidbits Warren Farrell's. But from his explanation, doesn't that make the disposable male issue originate from the military? The other job related reasons kinda have a logical sense, males being a little bit better suited for those professions. But war is illogical, do I not understand the soldier aspect of it?
/r/MensRights16/05/18 04:01 PM

I agree. But you asked the question of why. I can only give you the answer. What you do with it is of your own accord.

You're right, we were all birthed from a woman. But that's not the issue here. Were not bitter because of what parts a person was born with, were irritated with the system that was created from a fallout of massive change. The civil rights movement modified all the rules of the game for women, but never did any balancing for men. This has created a system that can naturally be abused. Groups are going to instinctively defend the power they have, but what happens when they get too much and start …

In this hypothetical situation you've mentioned, you're leaving out so many different possibilities because of a single assumption. What if the fiancee has the same independent resources you do? Or even more? They could just choose to allocate more to you. In many relationships this happens. The only way "the Fiancee came to be the Finance Minister of the state." Is if you allow them. You could just choose to keep all resources apart. But for most people they have found a give and take situation…
