Stay seated and keep working. When they ask why, point out that men still have to keep things running while women get their asses kissed for no reason whatsoever. Because of the patriarchy, or something.
Put in a complaint to HR about how the reinforcement of stereotypical gender roles (see above) made you feel uncomfortable. They failed to show any concern for whether the people they were gormlessly pedestalizing actually identified as female, and forcing an assumed gender identity on them while putting them in the spotlight may have triggered serious distress.

Open a burner e-mail account and e-mail human resources that requiring men to stand up and applaud women is discriminatory. The women must also get up and applaud the men or the employer is subjecting men and women to different terms and conditions of employment based on sex. That should put a stop to it.
