Greetings. I paid cash for mine when I was 27 (I am now 49). At first the doctor didn't want to do it but I convinced him that, if I change my mind and want to have a child then I will adopt. I don't have any complaints. I paid $500.00 cash, back in 1998, and that seems well worth it to me as a child would have cost me approximately $200,000.00 plus huge negative quality of life costs. You can also look into no-scalpel vasectomy (vs. scalpel or traditional which is what I had) and vasalgel.

Even if you can find a doctor to give you a vasectomy so young, I honestly think you should wait a few years. Your perspective on life will change, and even though you can still have kids after a vasectomy it can be difficult.

I had a vasectomy when I was 26 (in my 40s now) and I can say that I absolutely do not regret it. Whenever a friend mentions that his girlfriend is late and he's worried, I can't even relate because it's been so long. Of course, when I had my vasectomy I already had a child.

Play it safe and re-evaluate when you're in your mid-20s.

I'm 23 and looking too. I'm going to lie and say I already have kids and buy a cheap wedding band and say I'm married. Easy. If I change my mind (I won't) then I'll adopt. Theres enough kids without homes out there, its senseless in my opinion to add to the population without taking care of the people already in the world

No issues. I think it's good you are considering your reproductive health early. You have to live with your decision though. Most doctor's will do a mental eval before, so don't let that share you away or change your mind.

I tried at that age and was turned away. But times have changed. My advice is to get it done at a place that specialisesbin vasectomies as there can be complications and pain after though only a small perecentage. The risk is still there.

Id wait until youre in your mid 30s and your sure.

Some men on here may swear it was great but chances are none of them had it done at 20, and although i support every guy on here they may have baggage.

I do too but mine isnt about kids since i have none
