You need to stay with him if you think he is serious and just not pissed off and venting.

Please tell a counselor, teacher, or take him to the ER. Don't take any chances. I myself have harmed myself over a chick. I'm thankful everyday that my cat(RIP) found me and notified people for help.

Your buddy is in a very fragile state. Don't worry about him being pissed off at you because you got him help. This situation will pass but his suicide is permanent.

The solution is for him to get sex from women who he thinks are close to attractive as the other girl to get over her (even if it is just prostitutes).

The “bitches ain’t shit” path will not work as his body will make her think of the girl no matter what his mind says (it will help ofc).

The issue is that his upbringing will make it so he will avoid doing this and will refuse outside help that goes against pussy worship. If he tries to do so, it will result in a cognitive dissonance which might give him a mental illness (I became temporarily insane when my blue pilled upbringing came clashing with reality).

Remember that his entire existence so far is under attack.

The best you can do is spend as much time as you can with him and give him the more positive red pills (she ain’t shit and you deserve better aspects). It is up to him though (it isn’t his fault, he is just the only one that can break through the lies).

Writing down thoughts and feelings is quite underrated, portraying everything makes it much easier to understand. Working out it's also quite helpful, it releases endorphins which reduces stress and anxiety. Therapy is also a great start for someone this unstable.

In my experience, is better to avoid sentences such as "I'd miss you if you were gone" or "your parents would get very sad". This only adds an emotional burden to the person which can worsen their anxiety. If he decides to stay, it must be in his own terms and wishes, not through emotional blackmail.

First off, kudos for being caring and handling this in a tactful way. It's not a common thing for women to care much nowdays for a man wanting to take his own life from oneitis, Which i'm betting is the problem because the way you described him he sounds very emotionally vulnerable.

Down to business. My only question, is this the first time he's ever had this feeling?

If this is a recurring issue he needs help beyond what you can give him, and the only real thing you can do is convince him of that.

If this is the first time it's ever happened to him and it strictly because of this specific girl, The man has oneitis. Oneitis is a Bitch, especially the first time you have it, especially if you're young, and from what i've seen especially if you're a religious individual/someone who believes in destiny. I've seen it before where a buddy of mine was honestly convinced that God put one particular woman on this planet just to make him happy. You can imagine how much havoc that wreaked on the poor man when he realized it was unrequited in every way.

Whatever you tell him he's going to rationalize a way for him to be right and everyone else to be wrong. You can tell him there are better women out there who will treat him differently, He will tell you this girl is special and it's fate that they be together. You can point out the flaws in this woman and try to show him that she's not that great to begin with, He will say you're just jealous and hateful. You can offer to find him someone else better and he will decline and say that he will find a way to make it work with this girl. Oneitis Deletes all Logic and reason from a mans brain.

All you can do for now is be a friend to him, don't let him spend his nights alone, if he's hanging out at home on friday night instead of going out, you or one of his other friends needs to be with him, because the main thing he's feeling right now is loneliness, and worry that the loneliness he feels will never go away. Try and show him that life will still be okay even if he never sees the woman again, show him that even without her he still has it good because he still has great friends that will be there for him.

Also, Don't sleep with him yourself out of pity or anything like that, I've seen that situation too and it ends horribly. Unless you suddenly decide he's the perfect man and you wanna spend the rest of your life with him do NOT take your relationship further than what it is. Also, If he develops romantic feelings for you, Gently put distance between yourself and him, don't turn tail and run and don't start playing with his feelings yourself. If that happens, it's a pretty good tell that he's over the oneitis chick enough to find someone else, that's when he needs to go get laid by some other chick, which you can help him find if you want.

However, I've had enough friends to know this is ultimately a dead end road for 90% of the men I've known who are vulnerable to this kind of thing, one of 4 things will happen. A: suicide, B: He toughens up about this, ceases being a nice guy, losing most of his helpful traits in the process at which point these things won't bother him so bad. C: He finds "The real one" which 90% of the time fails and ruins him, or D: goes his own way and never has to deal with any of this ever again.

I typed this long ass post out because this subject breaks my heart, I had a friend who blew his head off because his oneitis cheated on him, I hope it doesn't happen to your friend, I hope this helps you in some way.

For what it is worth, ultimately you are not responsible for his well being. You cannot change his mind. The best you can do is to get him to seek professional help. If you think his suicidal tendencies are imminent, feel free to call suicide hot line.

Honestly, don't take advice of sleeping with him, or getting some other hot girl to sleep with him. It will only make things worse. People in his situation feel real pain, and unfortunately he does not know how to handle this pain. Be there for him, but in the end, know that there is only so much you can do. The best thing he can do right now is to change his situation - take a break for a few weeks, go back to his family, reconnect with his friends/hobbies etc. Change of scenery will help.

More importantly, if things go really bad, please know its not your fault, and you did the best you could.

First, you need to understand that you can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.
Second, he needs to understand that the age and the phase he's going through right now as man, are the lowest points of his life.
Third, he needs to understand that women follow 2 things, Money or genetic looks (a woman can't "love you" if she doesn't find you sexually appealing). If he doesn't have the genetics, he should focus on the money, that way he'll get more ass than the toilet seat.
