Isolation of the prey is common. It's about isolating you metally and physically so that you become dependent solely on her validation/affection. Through this all your attention/purpose/resources will be dedicated to her only in the long run and that she can abuse you(financially/socially) without anyone judging or trying to save you.

The mother of my friend always tries to isolate her cuck/simp husband from family members by creating dramas i.e One time she told her husband that one family members tried to flirt with her during a family gathering.

She also told her husband that he shouldn't confront the person.

My friend later told me that her mum created all this drama the next day inorder to isolate his father so that he continues to be a beta slave( cooking, house chores) while she continues her lazy lifestyle.

Yeah I have experienced this, they can't help but be haters sometimes. Don't get emotional, stay logical and be reasonable for your own sake. One of my ex's used to make remarks about a friend I have. He is a year younger than me and told me often he looked up to me for my ability to stay focused on my goals, consistent with my fitness regime and always saying no to hard drugs since day 1, at parties etc.

He came from a religious and drug using past but we met through the love of music. He has now been 4 years sober and trains like a man possessed. Bros before hoes. Personal advice would be break it off with her. Take some time to invest in yourself. Be productive, introspective and appreciative of all the things that made you happy or challenged you every day. Between your GF and your friend, if you truly think he is your friend, stick to him.

He will be there when you need him (personal experience, 46yo, bf for almost 30y).
