My last ex told me we worked good as friends, got along well, shared interests, had great sex, and always had a good time together with lots of adventures and laughing. True, we did. Even after post-nut clarity I enjoyed being with her. However, she constantly said the "relationship" part of our relationship wasn't working and was feeling forced. And that we should have just stayed friends that had sex (e.g. she wanted to be free to fuck other dudes).

I was pretty red-pilled when I was seeing her, so I think this is where her gripes were. I wouldn't cater to her, pay for her, do labor for her, or help her take care of her fucked-up adult family members.

She made more money than me, but I easily took care of myself with passive income. So I didn't really need to work. Anytime she wanted me to do something extra, I would tell her that it wasn't commensurate. We both gave each other sex, friendship, and companionship. That's equal. But now I was supposed to do extra stuff she wasn't doing? To be proportionate, she asked me what I wanted in order for me to do what she wanted. I told her I didn't want anything, I was happy with the way things were. I am a minimalist so I don't need material possessions, and I value my free time more than anything and don't want to give that up. This pissed her off royally. She called me selfish for this during every argument.

For me, I know how rare it is to find someone who I get along with so well (male or female). So I wanted to keep the relationship going. But she never saw it as a "relationship". I think women are delusional. What we had was good. I don't think she will find that kind of connection again easily, but I don't even think she even valued that anyway. From what I can tell, women just want a workhorse who caters to them. I doubt she regrets us breaking up. Maybe when she gets older and can't find a real connection, but that is probably just my little fantasy.

As a side note, when we were first getting to know each other, she asked me what I was looking for in a woman. I told her I was looking for a woman who always told the truth and was honest, and that I was looking for sex, a friend, and companionship. She kind of scoffed when I said this. It was a red flag I overlooked. Looking back now, it is kind of funny thinking that women don't really value companionship. It seems like the most important thing to me as a man. Whatever.
