All the guys I know, Google their partners/future partners. Most of the successful men I know or know of, actually have background searches done on women they're dating and hire private investigators to check partners they are looking at getting into LTRs with.

More than a few LTRs and proposals didn't materialise due to things that came up during these investigations.

Successful men, now seem to also see relationships as just another business transaction.
