I would argue that his statement of "you should be a phone sex operator" was probably a response to something sexual and dirty that she said to him in an attempt to seduce him and manipulate her way to a pay rise/promotion.

Never have I ever asked someone to explain a joke. It's not like when you dissect it and analyse it it gets funnier. It's in the moment and funny. You can look back on any joke and be like "wtf, that was offensive" and yep, it is. But if every joke is non-offensive, we'll get Captain Marvel. And nobody likes Captain Marvel...
