I've helped plenty of men I know to get a job at whatever company i've worked at at that time. However, the difference is that we first spoke about their skills and experience, whether they'd actually be suitable for a job at the company, rather just saying "Please give me a job".

On the other hand, i've had women like this approach me and simply ask for a job. Any job, regardless of whether they are a right fit for the company, regardless of what skills and experience they have.

Women pan handle, men negotiate.
