I live alone in a city. I've been on my own for a year and a half now, but still go home to visit family a couple of times a month.

I work with 90% women. Thankfully, my job is mostly individual. But sometimes we have to work on projects together.

Today I was in a room with about 15 girls, and 1 other guy. I was just doing my own thing at the table, working on my computer as we were wrapping up our meeting. The other guy in the room who happens to be gay, asks this girl if she was single and she said yes. The gay guy reacted immediately, and said something like "well, if I knew of a cool straight guy who is single, I'd definitely hook you up." And then she was like lol no thanks, all men are scum anyways. And everyone in the room laughed, including the guy! I just sat there in silence and disbelief, although I shouldn't have been too surprised.

The funny thing is, I had a crush on this girl about 6 months back, but finally fought off the shred of blue pill that was still left in me at the time. I never tell anyone about my personal life, so I could be single or in a relationship for all they know, but that's besides the point.

I streamed The Joker last night, and thought it was a great movie. While living my life today, I was able to relate a lot of the things he saw and endured to how people reacted around me. People acting unfriendly, joking about how all men suck like it's nothing, right in front of a couple of guys.

People have been acting this way for a while now. I've been treated like shit by most people in my life, for no good reason. I have a select few friends, and I pick up 1 really good one every 5 years or so. And they come and go as they marry/have kids.

Now, I'm not going to go off the deep end and murder people like Arthur Fleck did, but damn do I understand why someone might do that if they are treated poorly enough for long enough. This society fucking sucks, and nobody seems to notice. Everyone just does what they're told and suffers through it until they die.

Well you know what? Fuck that. I'm keeping myself isolated from these people as much as I possibly can. I make my money and get the fuck out of dodge, and spend time with people who I truly love (family). I will never waste 1 second outside of work with these people.

Additionally, promotions have come and gone. There are 2 women, both engaged, who got promoted this past cycle over me since they have been there longer (by about 3 months apiece), although they don't know what they're doing most of the time and occasionally require my help to finish their work. It's pathetic.

We have another cycle coming in a few months and there is a girl who started 4 months after me, and I'll admit she's a hard worker and is intelligent, probably on par with me. Although, she acts like a huge cunt to the couple of straight guys in the office (including me). I overheard the managers talking about next promotion cycle, and overheard them say "we'll definitely have to take that into account" as if she has some kind of advantage over me, which would be completely asinine. Since she has a pussy she's likely going to get it over me, and if that happens, I will actually walk out on the spot.

I'm starting to accumulate other options from different companies, although I would be willing to bet it's not much different anywhere else in terms of favoritism towards women. The double standards are endless. It's no wonder men feel slighted and go off the deep end. Society labels these people as insane and disgusting, but they have a pretty good fucking reason for their actions.

TLDR; Society sucks. Don't let anyone else bring you down. Live for yourself.

Update: I'm 24 for those wondering. Just starting out, and realizing that it's shit haha.
