I've been a hardcore Star Wars fan since childhood (I'm 35).

Episodes IV, V and VI are classics. I also enjoy episodes I, II and III as they give more context to the story.

I've watched Episode VII when it came out in the theaters, and was so terribly disappointed by Disney's SJW take on a copy/past Episode IV made exclusively to milk money from Star Wars fans, that I stopped watching all subsequent Star Wars movies. The franchise is dead for me, and it stopped with 6 episodes. I'm never EVER gonna watch the Disney made bullcrap.

Just like they did for Captain Misandry. $400 million opening weekend, yet thousands of posts online from people in almost empty theaters. Seeing how the studio gets 90% of the revenue for the first week, that means they only had to spend $40 million in marketing to con tons of people into seeing the movie.

Dear Disney, Focus on telling a great story. When you focus on promoting agendas, it takes away from the natural development of a great story. It becomes forced and viewers lose interest in a story that has been sidetracked and does not naturally flow. I remember years ago, we were excited for when the next Star Wars movie was going to be released. Now I'm inclined to wait for it to come out on Netflix, just out of curiosity.

I haven't liked any of the Disney ones. Even Rogue One which people like for some reason is just boring and full of cheap fan service. I won't be seeing any of the follow ups. Last Jedi was the nail in the coffin. I find them to be tonal trainwrecks, they don't fit with the originals whatsoever. It's big budget fan fiction.

And it may sound pretentious but I've moved on to more sophisticated movie making, I don't want to be a middle aged guy still going to see Star Wars movies, that phase of my life is over, I've moved on. It's just sad the kids now are getting this new crap when kids in the 70's and 80's got some great and fun movie going experiences.

It's bad enough they turned Star Wars into woken, nihilistic hipster trash, but one of the great travesties of what happened when Lucas sold the franchise is that the the video games pretty much ended afterwards. I used to love Star Wars video games, but after EA took over the franchise the video games have been virtually non-existent.

Rogue One (was completely re-shot by the replacement director so it didn't suck but still broke the canon)

The original Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw in a theater, and it was an amazing experience. I tried to enjoy the new ones, but they've fucked it up so badly I didn't even realize this one had come out. Will likely never see it.
