logic. It's really the best thing for you even if you got a devouted virgin cause of how women are and how our culture is. Being a man of house isn't worth it unless your wife is your previous virgin property and the state and culture backs this up. The reason this was put into place in the first place was because it was the only way to incentivize men to actually participate. It wasn't just a means of using and abusing women, it was a means to organize men into a stable and thriving civilization. Men under this arrangment work the hardest, provide the most, raise the most kids, and fight the hardest for their nations. Therefore, the civilizations that follow this model conquer the ones that forego or soften this arrangement as strong motivated men will destroy unmotivated weak ones.

I think of the peace and quiet. I also have the advantage of having a niece and nephew from single parents (go figure) who I help raise.

The risk was no longer worth the reward. I dated both casually and seriously for several decades. Some of the women were worth dating seriously and there was a presumption that it could lead to marriage. Eventually, the inevitability became something I actually planned expenses for. In the end, it was no longer worth the effort.

OP. Many older guys were not always GYOW. Most guys over 40 posting or lurking on here have been married or in a relationship and decided to GYOW after a long history of witnessing or being on the end of toxic behaviour by women. Everyone has their own story and their own route from a blue pilled life, through red pill rage to the peace and tranquility of GYOW. Some are on the journey and still partnered up but now more observant and aware of the duplicitous nature of the ‘fairer sex’. You need to chart your own course and not live a GYOW lifestyle based on someone else’s journey. Personal experience counts for a lot. Keep reading here but form your own views. Do not hate. Hatred is not GYOW. Be vigilant. Protect yourself from accusations. Focus on your development as a person. How old are you?

I am finally old enough to see a trend. I've been married, raised kids, divorced. dated before and after. I'm young enough to make up for lost time and lucky enough to not go through the meat grinder during the divorce.

In the natural order of things, when you date/get married, it will never get any better than the day you two met - compared to when you are single and can focus like a laser beam on yourself.

After the divorce and giving dating one last try, I was done.

That's telling. By default you're saying one should not be single and should have kids.

That's how you were programmed, so you think that is normal, and being single and not having kids is abnormal.

That't the more interesting question, is why you think your bizarre lifestyle is the normal one.

It wasnt really a decision for me per se. I am open to being in a relationship I have just yet to meet a woman that has made me think they are worth more than fling. I don't suspect I ever will. I love my single life style more than anything, I am just open to that change if it does come.

As for how I got here, I got out of a relationship in 2012 and just thought 'I think I'll take a bit of a break'. So I did. Making the commitment not to date just because I had feelings for a while quickly made me realize that I was happier than I'd been in my entire life. With relationships I'd get in and then just be weirdly depressed after 3 months. This would keep going until I just broke up with the girl and suddenly I'd feel fine again.

I had a similar experience with facebook. Deleted it with the intent of just taking a break, and never looked back.
