I wouldn't be so quick to blame it on this. It definitely doesn't help them though.

Activision and Take-two are both struggling right now too. Activision makes sense but Take-two just hit a grand slam with RDR2. It looks like there is just a decreased gaming demand. We're all playing catch up with the older titles.

Not sure companies understand who their target audience is. You don't try and please everyone. Yes there are girls that play games but it isn't anywhere near the number of males that play games. Making men angry is not a good way to increase sales.
