To much older MGTOWs, how is growing older as MGTOW going...

I’m still in my 30s but I hope to just live by myself for as long as I can. I hope I die in my own house instead of some nursing home.

50-something here
twice divorced
no kids
yes both divorces they got 50% of everything
financially stable/secure. I was always financially conservative
I love my career: switched career recently, no more job, I have my own business/freelancing
I love where I live
I am GMOW and I have the occasional FB/FWB since I like to get my dick wet
I have a decent social life, mostly centered about my industry

I'm middle-aged, and it's pretty good being MGTOW as I get older.

Remember, you can't compare it to the idea of having an attractive and caring wife who would never divorce. I spent enough time dating to know that I couldn't find that situation for me. Maybe someone else can, but I couldn't seem to find what I wanted in a romantic relationship. From this group, I discovered that many other guys end up disappointed with dating and romantic relationships too, so that seems to be common.

Every year, I complete more and more of my goals, and I build more for my future. I minimize the drama in my day-to-day life. Aside from meeting my work responsibilities, I can generally do what I feel like doing with my time and money.

As for if I need long-term care when I get older, even if I could find the type of romantic relationship that I wanted in the past, there is no guarantee that my wife is going to be there to provide long-term care. She could always divorce me before then, for example. Instead, I can save my money and plan for a good retirement home situation, in case I ever need that kind of care. The financial advantages of MGTOW could probably help a lot with saving for possible long-term care when a guy is older. It's also possible that I will never need that type of long-term care. So, as you can see, the decision to get married isn't so closely tied to the question of needing care when one gets older, as some people may think. Can you imagine getting really old and sick, and then the wife divorces, because things are no longer as fun as they used to be, and she doesn't want to do the work of taking care of the husband?

To avoid loneliness as one gets older, there are also many non-marriage ways of dealing with that. For starters, I don't necessarily get lonely when I am alone. I can seemingly always find something to do with my free time, even if that's just taking a good old nap. Family, pets, and friends are also great for spending time with. When I get older, old guys can also usually find other old guys to be friends with, if I need more friends. Even places like this MGTOW group or playing video games online provide people to spend time with, in a way.

One more note about finding company through a romantic relationship. Remember that this ASSUMES that the romantic relationship goes in a positive direction. I have been in romantic relationships where things were falling apart, and it was getting so unhappy that I wanted out of the relationship; that is, I preferred being alone to being in the relationship.

I'm not going to sit here and put down the idea that it wouldn't have been great to find a romantic relationship -- IF I could only find what I used to be looking for. I wanted to find a woman whom I was attracted to, that felt the same way about me, and with whom I could have a full partnership in life for the long-term. I'm not saying that wouldn't have been great. But I tried a very long time, and I never found that for me. And it seems like this is a common experience for many guys, so why should I be so surprised if that was my experience. If this is my situation, then I have to look at my best options that I CAN reasonably have. That basically means planning my life as a single guy.
