Feelings during Air Force Basic Training

I was an infantry paratrooper in the Army. Unless you are hyper motivated to do some crazy shit and try out for a special forces/ Spec ops type position, stick with air force.

They are by far the most luxurious branch, and will treat you most like a human being. All depends on what your trying to do though. I needed the discipline that I got being a grunt and would never take it back.

Get a job in the air field operations branch...do your time..."retire"...become a US contractor doing the same thing you did in the USAF for six figures. I'm in Iraq right now and there are a whole bunch of former USAF personnel working as civilians for the US State Dept in Baghdad working on the airfield/airport terminals.

Do not join any military branch. You would think Air Force is less strict and easier than other branches but they all suck and you practically become a glorified slave. You do not want 8 hour watches back to back and the bullshit 7 hours of sleep (it’s more like 4/5 hours depending on the bullshit they throw at you to waste your time and make you run in circles) they give you.

The more women in your flight, the less challenging training will be. I had 60/40 male to female ratio and no female Military Skills Instructors and it was a fucking breeze compared to the session above which were all male and had a couple of female MSIs that were deadly af. Most airwomen just want to be dental assistants and clerks so all this talk about "making choices not to get anyone killed" is a load of crap.
