A massive conundrum for both TRP and liberals alike

Trump just signed a bill supporting women into STEM and entrepreneurship. Yes, it's true.

This is the biggest slap in the face to pretty much everyone. To the crybaby feminists all over the world the cognitive dissonance is probably driving them on an LSD-like high, not sure if they are hallucinating or if they are being fed Fake News (TM) from the patriarchy controlled media.

But what to say of TRP? The beacon of hope in killing the current PC/feminist/SJW narrative has certainly let many redpillers down. This cannot be denied. Wonder what all his RP staunch supporters think of this?

To my mind this only shows that he has a different agenda from the one he was selling during the campaign. And, personally, makes me appreciate him more rather then less.

No, not because he's supporting women doing what they don't want to.

To me that's a sign that he's actually trying to bridge some of that divide that is ripping the world apart, not just the US. And he's compromising on something he most definitely does not believe in.

In life, if you want to achieve something, anything, you have to compromise. The pussy-grabbing master deal maker that is the US president is certainly aware of this.

Edit: More details emerged, but the ones I find very amusing are his flavour comments right before signing the bill:

Today I'm signing two bills that promote women entering and leading the STEM fields -- science, technology, engineering, and math. Currently, only 1 in every 4 women who gets a STEM degree is working in a STEM job, which is not fair and it's not even smart for the people that aren’t taking advantage of it. It's unacceptable that we have so many American women who have these degrees but yet are not being employed in these fields. So I think that's going to change. That's going to change very rapidly.

And a little later

We need policies that help support women in the workforce, and that's really very much going to be addressed by my administration over the years, and to get more and more of these bills coming out, and address the barriers faced by female and those in STEM fields. We want American women who graduate from college with STEM degrees to be able to get STEM jobs that can support their families and help these American women to live out the American Dream, which they are so qualified to live out.

No, it's not. My assessment is based purely on the symbolic value that these actions have. The left wing considers Trump a misogynist mainly for the symbolic value of his words. Not only that, it's again the symbolism of his attitude towards women and what that (supposedly) represents that he got endorsed right here on TRP. So a symbolic gesture like this is actually a big deal.

On a related note, I've edited the original post adding some comments of what he said just as he was signing the bill... not quite statements TRP would praise.

Also, for the record, Trump is not Red Pill or Alpha.

Not the prevailing sentiment on TRP...

While he may not save the world... he'll at least delay the destruction that would have been assured under Clinton.

If you read the statements he made, those are 100% Clinton worthy!

I think the conundrum is real, and only getting bigger as more details emerge... I find it utterly amusing.

Ya pick up that opinion from the blue pill sub on your way here? Because that's almost an exact quote of what they'd say about us. It's also categorically false to anybody who read RPS's post on the matter.

No need for personal attacks. The BP has been booted out of my system for good. My blood is red, both literally and figuratively.

I simply like to entertain myself with philosophy here and there. And the role of the symbolic in our lives is something I find most interesting. (A prime example is the placebo effect, pure symbolism that can cure an illness.) So not quoting anything or anyone.

But on point, RPS's post contained, and I'm (almost) quoting, Trump is endorsed "not in spite, but because" of the pussy grabbing remarks. The key of RPS's endorsement was his attitude towards women, not much else.

This is pure symbolism in action, it's not like Trump ever put forward any explicitly anti-female policies in place, say in his businesses. Yes, he does keep the women in his family in their place, but that's about it. So him saying shit about women is a purely symbolic act, and it's also what gained him the image of a misogynist.

Well, that image he's clearly working on shattering.

And you cannot honestly deny that his remarks upon signing the bills are worthy of the best/worst Clinton. Consequently, if you claim that's what you were expecting from him when you cast your vote, you are lying to yourself.

Again, the conundrum is real and gigantic.

Do you ever wonder why, after an event like the Trump leak, reporters are quick to ask his endorsers: "But you don't condone sexual assault, do you?" And that wasn't a personal attack. It was my objective observation. But again, bloopers take facts and reality as though they are some sort of personal attack. The worst you could accuse me of is mocking you in that short reply because the idea that Trump was endorsed by us because he likes to commit sexual assault is not only false as demonstrated above... it is right out of the blue pill sub's view of TRP. That we endorse rape and sexual assault and beating women etc etc, while there are pieces which demonstrate the opposite. I neither agree or deny. As I said, I take it all with a good pinch of salt. There's a political game being played and I don't see Trump as an ally but merely a useful player who may not save the world, but he should at least throw a spanner in the works to a certain degree. I think you need to look at the bigger picture.

I'm British, so my vote went towards Brexit. From Trump I expected a more positive interaction with Britain than Obama gave us, reduced chance of starting WW3 with Russia and a massive triggering of SJWs. So far all three of my expectations appear to be on track.

Neither American nor British, but spent the last 10yrs between the two countries. And Britain is actually very dear to me. I think Brexit was a mistake, though I don't want to start a conversation on this. When back, I might ping you and we can have a pint or three and talk about it.

I'll tell you more. As a left leaning rational discourse lover, I quite liked Cameron's Tories. Go figure. (Now please don't engage in the "leftists cannot be TRP" bullshit.)

And, of course, you cannot compare UK and US politics. Even Theresa May is more left winged than Bernie Sanders, such is the disconnect between the two! You may not believe this, but you'd have to be here to fully experience it. One of the not many commonalities between the US and UK is the massive feminist cluster fuck. Not much more.

Finally, I agree that Trump is actually more likely to avoid a WW3 with Russia. But incidentally that's because of his willingness to compromise with Putin, not treat him like a terrorist to tame. Clinton would be much tougher in her stance, but this is not something TRP is willing to admit. (Trump, of course, is "the toughest motherfucker" around.) It was also a conclusion in the OP, that to achieve big stuff you need to compromise. Otherwise you're either a revolutionary or a fruit loop, both of which are extremely high risk strategies to achieve stuff.
