I don’t know why this meme reminded me of this: a few years ago, the wife of my buddy from childhood...I’m talking, I’ve been friends with this guy since I was 2. There were no gaps in friendship...his older brothers and my older brothers were buddies and still are as well. There is nothing we don’t know about each other’s lives or families.

Anyway...he and his wife were going through “problems.” After a year, one day she tells me she had been messing around with a guy from work and doesn’t know what to do and wants advice. Then tells me “but you can’t tell Mike,”. “This is between us!”

I looked at her for about 1-2 mins without saying a word. Then flatly said “you got two hours...then I’m telling him.” She whined: “but I thought we were friends...I confided in you...”. Blah blah blah

I just couldn’t believe it!!! I had known her for two years...and she expected me to betray a buddy (a brother really)...just like that! Freaking incredible!!!!

I told her it was pathology in her to 1. Tell me what she did and 2. Imagine my ultimate loyalty would ever be to her.

I restated: “you got two hours”

Five hours later, My buddy calls to tell me about their talk. At end of our conversation he asked if I had known anything... I said only two hours before you did.
