Definitely. There is plenty of psychology studies that cover this. Use Google scholar to find a few (you can also rip them with sci-hub).

Overall, as men age the norm is that they will be unhappier when married and happier when single. The reverse happens for woman.

While psych studies' methodology are usually shoddy, the "only" subjective piece of data in these studies is usually the self reported assessment of happiness. Overall, these studies could (if society didn't often silence it) prove why MGTOW is the way to go if you're interested in your own happiness (contrary to others').

I think it depends on how you measure it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PERCEPTION of women is that their QoL goes down. However, if you measure it by hours spent on nondiscretionary activities, amount of sleep, and so on, I'm sure men are the worse off.

Not necessarily... a lot of unmarried guys (and I don't just mean "cohabiting" sort of legally/formally not-technically married guys)... blow MEGA SHITLOADS of money on women -- both directly (dates, booze, etc), and indirectly (displaying status, buying shit they hope will "impress" chicks, going out to bars & clubs hoping, trying to meet women, hookup with them, etc).

That isn't necessarily supportive of men getting married, mind you... it's just noting that being "unmarried" is not sufficient -- in and of itself -- to create a high "quality of life" for men.
