I tell them the truth, that I'm not looking to give up my freedom and mobility for sex once or twice a year at the expense of half my shit. It usually shuts them up about it pretty quick.

I asked my mother why I'd want to ruin a good thing when she asked me about girlfriends just a couple days ago. I'm at the point that I don't give a shit what other people think about me being single and I'm not afraid to tell them I don't give a shit.

I ask them to name anyone married that is happy. This was one of my personal gyow moments. I realized that in 30 years I had never met a happy married couple. There was one that seemed very happy until I realized that the mom just loved the utility and perks that husband provided, she acted nice and made things hell behind the scenes.

People usually think for a minute, then frown when they realize I am dead right.

My dad was the hardest though. I told him that I never wanted to end up with a woman like my mom. I wished that he had left her, he told me that he was actually looking to get a divorce but his heart attack changed his mind. I never had the heart to tell him that she only started taking care of him because her meal ticket almost died. The cunt had him fixing up their house most weekends and demands a standard of living that is just ridiculous... if she got off her fat ass she could make enough to pay handy men to fix things up and let my father relax. Sadly I know my dad will work every day... well, not every day. I’m sure he gets a half day when he dies. Probably on the floor, installing tile for that evil cunt for the 3rd time this decade.

I'm just truthful. I grew up as the oldest male of my generation, by over a decade. All my aunts are single mothers, save one in an unhappy marriage. And my generation is 3/4ths female.

It's amazing how cliche the conversation will go. I'll point out many of the flaws in the modern dating scene and every single one of them will join the THOT-bashing.

The best part: I use their personal stories and just change the main character to 'a friend of mine'. They have yet to catch on. It's fuckin rediculous.

I don't believe AWALT. But I do believe most people are shit.
