I find, still being new to all this information, I sometimes briefly drift back into behaving passively, it's a trait left over from the beta values I once held so strongly without question. The effects of it are immediately obvious and I wonder how I slipped into it again. So this little rant is to remind myself to always be aware of value and the dynamics involved between people used to gain control.
...
My main aim is to remain consciously aware of the process of defining my own values and upholding them. This can be done while still objectively acknowledging and respecting other people's values where they are not imposed on me.
Everyone has things they value, and they generally act in accordance with their current set of morals to obtain them. They can come from many origins and have questionable motives, as my own experience has taught me, but I still hold true that some people can be unaware (and some knowingly) as to how flexible their presented morals can become in order to achieve their own goals.
I have to factor this potentially manipulative behavior by others into my own morals so I can avoid achieving another person's opposing goals unwillingly and unfairly. I do so cautiously, but have no misconceptions that there are situations where a persons actions towards me can be accurately predicted to be harmful so I have no reservations for acting in ways that substitute these scenarios for one's that benefit my survival.
Continued understanding and application of value dynamics has served me well. It encourages me to enhance my mastery of gathering resources for exchange at the best quality sources and to remain successful in a way that I define.
