That said, I've never met anyone who's told me they were offended by "Merry Christmas" because they didn't practice Christmas traditions . I've met a few people who were offended on other people's behaf, but not someone who was actually offended for themselves.

I'm sure they're out there, but I grew up with Jewish, Athiest and Johovas Witness friends, none of them gave a fuck because it's just a traditional seasonal greeting.

It's not like if a Hindu person hears me wish them a "Merry Christmas" and doesn't correct me they automatically become Christian.

who/why do people find "merry Christmas" offensive?...

this is north america, the land of Christianity... since it was established; with the eradication of natives...

if people from "other nations" find Christianity offensive towards their own believes. i can respect that.

but, for 'other groups' to come here and dictate how it should be, here, as how they wanted 'the way of life similar to their own country', how they want to change the rules and regulations in their 'new country' to fit their own criteria(s);

how many nations are here in noth america? hundreds... why are these groups insisting on crying foul?... everyone needs to adapt to their new environment within their new country and contribute towards a better society; so at least we would ALL have a fighting chance; that being said.

no one dragged you/them here, no one put a gun to your/their heads and forced them here. WE all have the options to leave this country at any time as we feel fit. WE CHOSE TO BE HERE!

I don't go to your country and tell your government 'how to managed' and how to do things... since you are here on your own choosing; if you find that this society does not fit your needs and or up to your standards. simply leave, seek out better options for oneself, for ones believes....

i like the way how this country is and chose it for what it is and what it stands for. i would appreciate, if this country is left the way it was meant to be, by the very people that have created it....

This is just me, but I think this is only a problem in social media. I have seen no one getting offended over "Merry Christmas" , or "Happy Holidays!" Those people could be out there, but they are an insane minority. I don't give a shit if anyone says either greeting. It's just a nice greeting either way.
