This was my former roommate. She would lock her poor dog up all the time while going out partying all the time. Dog ended up becoming this weird Stockholm syndrome-like personality. We called the dog Reek. (Game of Thrones)

She always bragged about how she's this awesome person loving dogs. I would just bite my lip and shake my head.

Most of them just buy dogs to get the attention from other people around them and to post pics on instashit for likes,but they have zero care about the animal,the so called "dog mom" lol

That was my friends girlfriend. Would leave the dog my friend bought for her in the kennel so long the dog developed all kinds of crippling but preventable illnesses that eventually killed her. Two months in and I knew that would be the end result.

Ex got a dog. I told her to wait until life stabilized. She didnt wait. Damn dog costs nearly 100 bucks a month because she spoiled the poor pure bred boxer with grain free high protein, never recalled dog food that 50 bucks for a 25lb bag. Doesn't get played with like a puppy should and spends 10 hours a day locked up in the dining room and kitchen area behind baby gates.

My sister bought a husky put it all over Facebook Instagram doesn't fucking walk it gets mad at it for eating her clothes / shoes didn't train it so I kidnaped it dug a whole under the fence to make it look like an escape sis used it as an opportunity for more attention whoring dog now lives happily on my 3 acre property very well trained can take it out on runs without leash obeys commands told my sis and dad to come over first thing sis says oh you got a dog dad shakes his head at her when she found out it was hers had a tantrum posted shit like my bro stole my dog dad took my side. my dog now bitch

I've always wondered what was up with so called fur-baby parents or whatever. I would usually think "They still live at home so their parents care for it", "they have a dog-sitter", or "they DO take care of them". I never thought about the cage part.

My neighbors are like this. They cage their dogs almost 24 hours a day and they turn into insane, psychotic demand barkers.

They don't bark at neighbors. They bark at their own owners every time the owners show up. It's like a guard dog in complete reverse.

Worst of all, demand barking is actually the loudest, most annoying type of barking of all. They bark to the maximum capacity of their voice cords and THEY JUST DON'T EVER STOP!

When I was a kid I always took care of the pets around the house because no one was able to. My brother and sister lived in my mom´s house for years for free (in different times) I was the one giving food to the pets. Somehow they always got mad that the pets greeted me and even avoided them when they see me. They have zero empathy for animals, well even my sister in law doesn't have empathy for her son and daughter, I cannot expect more from the adults.

Since we're sharing dog stories, I know a guy dating a very hot girl. Her dog got sick and needed an operation costing I think around 10k. No insurance of course. Ended up getting the guy I know, and her previous bf to pay for it. Dog lived less than a year after it.
