While out for a cigarette break I heard a group of female colleagues talking. One of them was saying she went to the mall this weekend (the best one in my city), she saw the Rolex shop and how impressed she was. But, one huge disappointment: the guys that were shopping there and trying on watches worth tens of thousands of euros were not dressed appropriately. They didn't look rich. How is she supposed to know that a guy has money if he doesn't show it. To which a second woman interjected: "exactly! I turned down a guy that looked plain only to later find out he owned a villa in [affluent part of city]"
