There was this research I saw recently that suggested that women are attracted more to men with "dark - triad" traits they tested it as follows:

2 groups: 1 control group with certain similar personality but without "dark triad" traits

And a group with those same personality with dark triad traits.

they removed any other criteria (money, looks etc) just purely based on these facts.
