We're getting there. Your robo waifu will soon be a reality.

Neither, i’ll take a paid off 1-2 bedroom home.
[–]chart66537 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Got one of those. The feeling of having a deed-in-hand property feels better every day, than my (now ex) wife ever made me feel on our very best day

It just sounds so nice to not have to pay any sort of rent expense and be able to focus your budgeting on better eating and hobbies. I’m having a tough time finding a job that pays well enough to give me the opportunity to save money. Every interviewer turns me down regardless of how much I put my foot forward. It’s so demoralizing.
[–]chart66537 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm sorry to hear that. The interview process is definitely one of the most emotional, gut-wrenching, confidence crushing aspects of life. Keep pressing on like the MGTOW warrior that you are.
15 years ago I got tired of taking direction from others, so I purchased a bread delivery route. It was a little scary the first few years, because as a self-employed person, all responsibilities are yours (vehicle maintenance / breakdowns, insurance, loan payment etc) but the trade off of being my own boss has been worth it.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Did that before i turned 35. Best investment ever
[–]BattleBoi04060 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Imagine sleeping in a different bed every night
[–]MasterChris7250 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Depends, whose beds am I sleeping in?

Electric. Ditched the ex and bought a Tesla.
[–]Malinkadink0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
hear hear i was miffed that electric wasn't an option up there. Ditching my gas car for a tesla next year :)

More torque especially at lower RPM. Better MPG.
Some of the new ones are lemons though. Failure prone emissions control. Bad design. Very badly tuned due to emissions and low quality injectors. The quality of diesel fuel is very poor now compared to the 90's. At least in the UK.
[–]poloppoyop2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The day electric cars get good autonomy and really fast recharge will be awesome. 1 motor per wheel, as much power as your tires and your body can handle. We'll stop caring about 0-60 and think about how many G it can create.
[–]generalissimo_jones5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah. I personally will drive 90's-mid 2000's Japanese cars for the rest of my life because modern cars hold no interest for me. But i think Electric cars could well take 80-85% market share within a generation.
[–]jargonoid1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Same here. Even my 2011 Mazda is too new for my taste, I'll be going with something a bit older next time.
[–]jargonoid0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Fuck that. A whining motor will never match the rumble of a big engine, I don't care how fast it can move.
[–]Chill-BL11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Dunno, Petrol generally cheaper, but diesel generally drives more the way I feel driving is supposed to be feeling like.
Diesel, I pick Diesel.
[–]Harrybud078 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Both are correct answers.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hahaha... awesome! :)

[–]throwaway123948479 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
So petrol then...
[–]NeverNeverLandIsNow-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Petrol for sure BUT if they ever figure out how to charge batteries for electric vehicles super fast (like 5 mins or less) and have a longer range to start with then electric would be hard to beat, the torque all the way through the throttle is impressive. But for now I would stick with gas as electric would be a pain if I wanted to take a long trip, feels like my trip planning would mostly be figuring out where I can charge the bike. Mostly infrastructure I think that holds electric back from being bigger than it is.
[–]throwaway123948470 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've ridden one of the zero motorcycles, and they're awesome in the torque department. The range just isnt quite there yet.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I pick Petrol bcz I like speed and acceleration, and petrol burns faster ;)
[–]fuckyouredditx21 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Petrol... because gas lighting is all the rage.
[–]38yearsoffreefallin1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Petrol. Gas turbo is my jam
[–][deleted]0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Petrooooollll
[–]dragonsbless0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
There needs to be a third selection to make this fair........
Electric

Tesla
Fancy go karts for rich people.

If it's an old XUD engine or the old VAG 1.9 or an old Toyota diesel or even a TD5 sign me up. Otherwise Petrol for me.
[–]t353tfb1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
In my family fleet (I run the cars for me, my sons and my ex wife) I currently have 3 XUDs, 2 VAG 1.9 TDIs and a TD5. Never had a Toyota though.
I approve your engine choices!
[–]generalissimo_jones0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I have a 1996 Landcruiser with a 1HD turbo with 270,000 miles. My Corolla is a petrol though and i drive that most days as its dirt cheap. The smaller AD engine Toyota used at the end for its cars wasn't that great actually. I suppose the old 1.8 Ford diesel was ok too. They don't make diesels like they used too. You can't buy anything as good as those engines these days.
[–]t353tfb0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Oh, I forgot, I also have a VAG 1.9 SDI in an old golf.
[–]generalissimo_jones0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You don't see many SDI's these days. I saw a Caddy SDI on the motorway the other week. Thing looked like a toilet. It probably had half a million miles on it.
Nice to find another fan of the old diesels! My SDI golf is Going to die from rust soon, but while it keeps on running I'm not complaining.
Damn that sucks. My Corolla is getting pretty bad in places. The seams sticking out from the pinch welds have gone and there are a few places in the wheel arches and by the fuel tank which are bad.
[–]4odl3r0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Get the point you're trying to make... But if the wife is wonderful, most men would pick that
[–]robowriter0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Neither. Market options.
[–]JaxJags9040 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Can I have the cash? Or a house? Both of those things decline in value rather quickly
[–]gevalher0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why limit yourself? Pick one diesel and one petrol!
[–]EHXKOR0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I k ow some weirdo made his car his wife so I guess he got the best of both worlds
[–]fretit0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Would choose a wonderful wife with a nice car collection
[–]Tetedapro0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
diesel is low quality petrol...?
[–]XtremePeace0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Since good women are an antique that has come to an end I take an antique 70s diesel Mercedes Benz that would give me rewarding work lol.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Let's be real - many of us would love a wonderful wife if we magically were given the choice. The problem is that without magic, they don't exist - and even if they did, I'm sure many would be tempted to be like all other women when you apply the economic incentive to divorce and the cultural degeneracy taught to them.
[–]lonewolfsigma89170 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ofcourse jet FUEL 😉😉😉
[–]battle_of_homme0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]FaustoLG-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Diesel if I had the car, Electric if I wanted... I couldn't ditch the bitch, because I don't have that problem!
