I'm assuming the address was somehow associated with him. It could have been a post office box or a relative's address. I don't think people get fired over stuff like that unless the boss is a total prick. My guess is the boss will actually have ire towards the reporting employee because this is the kind of vindictive bitch that you do not want in a workplace.

I'd like to know why she thought that was any of her business. I fully expect the conversation with the manager to go like "I want to see his job application". This is the world we leave now. So pampered that we must make up things to be offended at.

Tell your friend to say he moved and that he has a different address. He's on the move a lot and isn't always home or something. It doesn't cross her mind that if they find out and he's fired this man's life will be ruined! Not only that society at large will now one have less tax payer.

I bet she won't hesitate to keep to herself if she's homeless. She would expect you to empathize with her.

What if the problem wasn't being homeless but being a liar? I mean if he lied in the forms to get the job and you need to be honest and trustworthy to do the job wouldn't that be reason to go to the manager?
