In my 50's, father of 2. Having babies is cheap. Teenagers in private school and then college is an insane revenue draw. I can actually see the quality of life in my 60's ebbing away financially.

Living my whole life on the west coast I can't seriously see any women going for signing up for something like that at least here on the coast. Inland would be different.

At this age I can advise any young men on where to locate after college I'd say choose to be near a big city in a state that doesn't border the ocean for the quality of women alone. Not saying it's perfect by any stretch but the ideals are different and women appreciate and respect their man with a more Los natural effort and not one necessarily tied to a pay check.

A paternity test can be done before birth. It costs more, but its not crazy expensive.

I recommend two paternity tests, just to zero out any possible errors in the lab, or wherever.

I have to say though, I have two sons. Nothing, and I mean >nothing< on this planet makes me as happy as they do. Their firsts will make you prouder than your own. There's no better moment than reading your budding author's story and realizing he writes better than you do, or giving your little pilot the stick for the first time.

It isn't easy, but few things worth doing are easy. The key, for me, is to recognize that I'm the dad. It's my job to protect them, teach them, be there for them. They don't have a job, except to learn and grow into themselves. I set expectations, but I don't >have< expectations. As a result, I've never lost my temper with either. There have certainly been hard moments, but those have been about my own shortcomings, nothing to do with them. As with anything, those hard moments are opportunities for self improvement, and I take them as such.

Your mileage may vary, and the statistics show that this is not the usual outcome, but that's my experience. Children cannot, in and of themselves, make you happy. Committed engagement in a worthwhile endeavour, in concert with worthy company, can make you happy. Children can be that endeavour, and if you are with a woman who is truly worthy company, then it is a tremendously rewarding experience.

If you follow the above advice, you're much more likely to find yourself in that position.

THE most important thing for both you and your future children is pre-screening the mom to be. You want the best mother for your future kids--both nature (good genes) and nurture (good mothering).

Is she not old, no/very low notch count, non-partier/doesn't have a gaggle of slutty friends, no/low social media whoring, from a good, in-tact family, religious (orthodox church-going, not "spiritual"), good health, not overly indebted, likes kids/has siblings, not a career slut?

Our research has shown that rates of extra-pair paternity are much lower globally and historically.”

Although scientific literature suggests that around 10 percent of the human population does not know who their biological fathers are, Larmuseau and his colleagues struggled to find any concrete data that either proved or disproved this estimate over time. So they used new data taken from recent studies that have examined extra-pair paternity rates in modern human populations. They also tracked data on Y chromosomes to trace paternal ancestry. Y chromosomes are passed from father to son and help paint a picture of a man’s lineage from his father’s side of the family.

The findings not only showed that extra-pair paternity cases are rare all over the world, but they also discovered that they have remained the same over a long period by combining Y-chromosomal data with records of the sample group’s ancestry. This research team conducted a similar study back in 2013. Based on data taken from people living in Flanders, Belgium, the researchers found that rates of extra-pair paternity were as low as 1 to 2 percent in this region and had remained that way for the past 400 years.

While she’s preggo, her mom, girlfriends and sisters are going to fill her with false Societal Programming about all the crap she needs to buy for the baby, often with your money. Be a man, be Alpha, stay strong, and don’t fall for it.

The one thing you must splurge on though is a top quality car seat. If you don't want to have a dead or brain damaged child from a minor car accident. DO NOT BUY THESE SECOND HAND.

I would also add, if you're at the peak of your career and you have kids consider being single income with a stay at home wife and having her home-school your kids.

I don't want to argue the benefits of home-schooling here. So if you disagree that's fine. However, having a wife that does not work during your child's younger years will mean they will get more nurturing and attention from their loving mother (because you married well right?) and will be more likely to end up emotionally healthy as adults. Also a woman who has no career is more likely to be submissive and will have more dread of losing you and her life over some random bit of cock.
