Basically retired now at 39. I work intermittently when the mood strikes me. I don’t want to just sit and vegetate so I keep busy. I enjoy my profession.

I am a contractor- but right now I am working as an employee for a small size firm and very happy about it- about 12k a month gross. I do not want to retire because men just mostly fvckin die about a year after. I like keeping busy.

Will be retiring next year at age 54. After 25 years of glorious service to the state I can walk away with a pension my 457 plan. Thinking of doing something else after moving to a warm weather state.

Retiring this year in my fifties. I took a retirement planning course and the most interesting comment from the course was that in order to plan for your retirement you first have to decide what you want to do with the extra 2000 hours per year of free time. If you want to spend it just camping in your backyard then you dont need to save much.
