Not weird but don't be that guy...you choose that place because it is affordable right? Well, then...its just a stepping stone until you can get your own place. The benefits of being on a college campus are great but you will stand out if you are also trying to go to the college bars or constantly hit on all the girls, they'll come up with a nickname for you and avoid you.. SO play it real cool and look for graduate students your age, who likely live off-campus.

I don't think even beta bluepillers could convince themselves it's weird or not something they would fantasize about doing. At most you'll probably get snide comments from your ex-wife and her friends trying to shame you from doing it lmao.

I'd say take some time before trying to game any of the girls living there though. It's not weird to hit on them, but it is if you're as socially retarded as you think you are (likely not).

If you are youthful and don't make a big deal about age, no one will really care. If you have more money than the people around you, then spend a bit on some nice clothes and a few toys like a home entertainment and a decent car, and join a gym. Invest in a few home furnishing that speak to the fact that you are not a starving student. Otherwise, save like a sonofabitch: 10% of gross into a tax-deferred 401k/RRSP, 10% into a long term "slush fund", and 10% into an annual me-money/mad-money account.

Live on what you have left and there will not be a huge disparity in life style from the surrounding students.

Then it depends on the vibe of the housing complex. I returned to grad studies at age 29. I spent a year off campus with a room mate. We became friendly with the young, female acting students living across the hall, but nothing came of that. Later I was in senior dorms (one student per room, 3 to a floor sharing a bathroom, 3 floors sharing a kitchen and living room). It seemed like everyone was always doing their own thing so I got to know them in passing but didn't hang or socialize with them.

Keep in mind that dating a girls who lives in the same building can violate the "don't shit where you eat" rule if you are intending on living there for more than a year. If there are in fact one or more social groups within the complex and you can get in with at least one, then that bodes well.

Nothing weird about it all if you play it cool. Later, when I was 39 I was dating a 27 year old who in turn had a circle of younger friends that included a few teenagers. One of them had just turned 19 and being Americans they decided to come up to Vancouver to party. So there I was with a gf a dozen years younger and partying with a crowd where some were half my age. It all went fine.
