I don't necessarily agree with everything posted here, but the general message definitely resonates with me. What really woke me up is reading Confessions of a Reformed Incel (Involuntary Celibacy) on the sidebar. About 95% of that describes my situation to a tee, even the age is damn close (I'm 28 and he was 29). I wish I read it 10 years ago and I wouldn't be at this point, but I finally realize it's time for a change.

My general feelings

  • I notice some women use sex as a commodity, something of value to be traded. I find this type to be worse than prostitutes. With a prostitute there's no bullshit – she gets paid so I get laid, and I can totally respect something as real as this. Hell, they're probably better at sex because they want you coming back for more so they stay employed.
  • Having a vagina doesn't make a woman special. She's got an organ for pleasure and reproduction, so do I, now why should I give her better treatment based solely on that?
  • Knowing that having a pussy isn't “good enough,” why should women exclusively choose sexual partners? Fuck that, I should have the pick of the litter – they should fucking fight over me!
  • Of course women will still be getting as much dick as they can to fulfill their desires until they reach a certain point in their lives, so why am I denying myself a pussy palace?
  • Before I woke up (if I'm even truly awake) I used to want a long-term relationship, all the crap you see in movies or read in books. Now I'm thinking of going for emotionless, unattached sex with numerous women until I find a woman worthy of something long-lasting with me. Why should she have the fun while I sit by and get none.

A personal story

While I was in college there was a girl who had a boyfriend, though she was obviously flirting with me any time we were together. I was a coward and a moron back then so nothing happened, plus I thought “she has a boyfriend, so nothing will happen between us!” Her boyfriend was also 5 years older than me, in the Navy and definitely more physically fit than myself. I still think she wouldn't have cheated on or dumped her boyfriend because she was headstrong, but why was she flirting with me? With the mentality I had then, I surely wouldn't flirt with other women if I was in a steady relationship...then many years later I find this subreddit. The way she acted makes sense now and it's changing my outlook.

My personality traits

I'm a likable, arrogant prick – this isn't something I fake or something I created, I've been that way since I was a teenager. However, I've suppressed the fuck out of it because people told me it's not the proper way to act. But here's the confusing part – all kinds of people fucking loved it and fed off my energy when I acted this way. I am an introverted person who generally doesn't care for anyone unless they're of some use to me. This definitely makes me an arrogant prick, but at the same time it gives me a charm, I guess? I'm able to feed off people's energy and poke fun at them with ease, but also joke around in general. Why the hell did I listen to people who told me this is not the way to be?

The next step?

I suppose I should probably unlock my true personality, get out of my shell and just enjoy the ride. Clearly listening to others hasn't helped one bit, and if they don't like the “real” me they are worthless. The worst thing that will happen is I won't get laid...which is already happening.
