From what I have read, women aren't aggressive enough in chess and there is less female players to draw upon.

I thought the same thing in golf. If the short game is truly the most important aspect of the game then women should be able to compete against men.

Darts, snooker, etc. All the best players are men.

The Women's chess tournament bans men. The men's tournament does not ban women. If you evaluate the scores of competitors, them women are not at men's level. That's why they don't play together.
