I'm about to hit the hay, so apologies ahead of time as I'm about to jumble some thoughts together, and TRP seems like the appropriate place to post, but I'm looking around and I just haven't made any really decent guy friends since college a few years ago (they're all spread out around the country).

I'm a world traveler/own my own business, work on motorcycles and build furniture in my spare time...

Sure, I know a bunch of guys I can call up and ask what they're up to, but I feel like I have this mental block when it comes to just saying what's really going on in my mind to most men for some reason, and I don't have any nearby guy friends to just chill/go out camping/shoot the shit with.

The strange thing is I have a number of female friends- a couple wingwomen or whatever you want to call them, blah blah blah, and I can just tell them whatever the hell I want- because I really just don't give a shit what they think.. but most women are so god damned boring.

I just feel like a lone wolf. I get a call or text from guys I know maybe once a month.... Maybe I'm just incredibly increasingly competitive deep down, but I just don't know what to do to bust down my walls and have guy friends.

Any quips of wisdom? Where did you guys meet your best buds? Part of my problem is that I'm in a newish city. Do i just have to 'tag along' with people/call them up until I assimilate into a new friend group?
