I graduated college in the '80s. had several job offers, but took one in the finance industry because it was loaded with young women around my age.

I had no issues dating and ONS with these women many from my company or other companies in the area, though I only did that once with a co-worker on the same team, which she initiated at a company party and took me home discreetly so no one else at work noticed. We didn't socialize together at the party and drove our own cars to/from the party, left at different times - I left first be sure most people knew I was leaving, she left about 10 minutes later and pulled into a gas station where we agreed to meet and I followed her home.

most often the 20 - 35 singles in the offices downtown would go out after work, usually Friday to pubs in the area. Inevitably someone knew someone and the groups merged which meant a nearly endless supply of dating and ONS opportunities. It was a good time.

I don't recall anyone having job related issues, but we didn't have the crazy shit and witch hunts then either.

I did this in the late early 2000s, but only flirted with the new college graduate co-eds because I was married at the time. In retrospect, post-divorce, I regret not partaking in those opportunities.

that's all history now, and I would not even think about it today. I minimize all interactions with women at work, and keep it to work related only even if they ask me personal questions, try to talk about personal things or private lives, I ignore it and get on with the work at hand as if they didn't say anything and I heard nothing.
