In this post I want to talk about frame, and what I’ve learned after some months of fully unplugging.

Frame is everything in life. Absolutely everything. I realize that now.

Donald Trump winning the election- Frame

Malcolm Butler’s game winning int- Frame

Acing a test you studied for- Frame

Winning a roast competition- Frame

These things may not seem like they have a lot in common, but they do. Conviction, Observation, and Resolve. COR.

Donald Trump was convinced he was a fire ass man. He observed that there was an opening in the U.S Gov and that the people were unhappy with the current system.

He resolved to run for President. He won because he was convinced in his own self worth, and was absolutely resolved to run for President.

These things are crucial to frame. A lot of people think they can fake frame by just acting tough. But the moment one thing goes wrong that facade comes crumbling.

Another example.

Malcolm Butler is convinced of his skills as a cornerback. He makes an observation that the Seahawks are lined up in a formation that he saw on film

(people with strong frame take mental notes of their surroundings btw)

and resolves to jump the route. Nothing was gonna stop Butler, he wasn’t hesitating. He knew what he had saw, and he trusted himself and his abilities.

Lastly, he made a decision and stuck to it. That’s what frame is. It’s not beating one shit test. It’s a fucking way of life.

Frame always comes with knowledge of something, and intent to do something. If you are not convinced of your own ability, or you do not know what you intend to accomplish, you will have a weak frame.

And you will fail in life.

My advice is to put yourself in situation where you know you will succeed, and not only taking on challenges and impossible risks.

For example, don’t exclusively try to open hot girls if you have not had successful previous experiences. Mix it up.

Don't depend on results for happiness. Positive results will make you happy. Ignore rejections, because they don't mean shit.

If you are funny, take pride in being funny, and let that be the basis of your frame.

Observe your weaknesses as a space where you can grow, not as an indication that something is irreversibly wrong with you.

If you are tall, you are fucking tall! It’s awesome! (I know, am 6’0)

Whenever you truly believe something, your brain has this weird way of making it influence your actions. So tie in you self worth to things you already know is true.

“I’m cool because I’m funny.”

“I’m hardworking so I’m cool.”

“I found RP so maybe there is some hope for me yet.”

Just to be clear, I’m not advocating not working on improving yourself. I’m saying frame comes when you know you are good at something, and you should never let yourself forget your strengths.

Nobody is perfect. But frame does not come from having success. It comes from being convinced of something, being aware of what you want to achieve, and acting upon your conviction.

The way to have a strong frame is therefore to have strong convictions. If you believe you are awesome, and you observe evidence that you are indeed awesome, you will act accordingly.

Observe things that reinforce your worth. This will build your frame. If those things are not present, MAKE them be present.

This is why having lots of good social experiences during the day can often snowball into you feeling great at the end of the day, even if you don’t really have much going on.

Once again, don't think you should not be critical of yourself. You should, but don't let that criticism cloud your eyes from seeing your potential.

You can be great.

The key is to hold on to that confident and happy vibe regardless of what life throws at you.

Be convinced of something, observe and decide and don't look back.

Look, you guys are awesome, even though you suck.
