It's a real moral debate talking about abortion which , frankly , I am not qualified for . Anyways , here's my underqualified opinion : a child is still leeching off her body to survive , which does , in turn , make it her body her choice . A pregnancy can really mess up your body and also there are serious repercussions . A child is a huge responsibility which not all of us are up to par to take . You could bring in the " don't want a child don't have sex" but people use birth control and people take multiple measures to avoid pregnancy and there's so many things that can go wrong which makes abortion a last measure . Of course there are the careless which have unprotected sex and want abortions , problem which can be solved with effective sex ed . If , let's say , the fetus could be taken out intact and live on its own and the parent wouldn't feel any repercussions , yeah abortion is wrong , but as long as the mother has to use her body's resources and utility (pregnancy also can get in the way of things) it's still her body we're talking about and we cannot force her to carry a baby just to dump it for abortion afterwards . As you can see I am very pro choice and this does make me biased but this is what I believe

I have seen the video a couple of times before . And I do know how bad late abortions are . I forgot to mention that I advocate for early abortions when the child can not survive outside the womb without extreme intervention . 22 weeks and after (from what I have read) the child can survive outside the womb with moderate intervention . However I do understand the doctor's perspective on the matter and I strongly support his beliefs on late abortion but abortion in general is not as barbaric as described . Not all abortions are late term , so we should not ban them all . From what I know brain activity starts at around 18 weeks . I do personally believe that between 18.22 weeks there should be a process which asserts if there is any harm to be caused to the mother and if not it is her fault for not going earlier . But the rest of abortions , where the fetus (or fertilised egg in really early abortions) is removed should be allowed . Going late to the gynecologist is the person's fault . They have not taken the proper measures to save a human and maybe should face the consequences , however , abortions before brain activity has started should not be regulated . Also no , I am not a feminist , but I don't like when anybody's right are taken away . Also , pregnancies are relatively easy to notice before 18 weeks since fertilisation . They are hard to detect 6 weeks in , around when the heartbeat law comes in effect which does make this new law a law that takes rights away .
