Wrong car for the money though

Yup... still trying to "impress" and pursue "status symbol" shit for validation.

For a fraction of the price of OP's "status symbol", you can get the SAME "utility" and arguably an equal amount of "beauty" by getting a low-mileage used one of these... and have money left over to buy a truck, build a BIG garage that will hold all of your vehicles, fill it with tools & equipment to maintain them, etc.

Now -- not that I give a shit about "impressing" anyone -- but you tell me, which is actually MORE "impressive"... or "beautiful" and "useful" etc??

OP can piss away his money however he wants... he just needs to be aware that he's not "impressing" anyone with an actual brain... and in fact is sending the opposite message (that he's still got at least one foot "stuck in the matrix").

Hell yes, impress myself. 90 years of German engineering and excellence in car industry, shared to me for pleasure and safety reasons. Have you ever smelled new Mercedes car or tried AMG models? It allows you to "move" like a damn Cheetah. What status symbol? It's not even a Porsche or Ferrari.

What beauty in link you posted? No matter how minimalist I try to be, that car was good looking 20 years ago. I can understand older generations and nostalgia but let's be real, car industry and motorcycle industry creates some fine looking designs and I appreciate that!

I literally don't have who to impress since I am misanthropic as hell. Humans disappointed me too much over the last 10 years. I don't even have money for this car and wouldn't buy it unless I can afford two. Otherwise, it stays a wish.

My point is written. DAMN Marriage costs this much and people celebrate that useless crap.

I completely agree. Wish I could say the same for a lot of my brothers who chase the lavish lifestyle only for more access to pussy. Over half of my brothers are paying huge car notes and insurance, buying $300 shoes and $200 shirts and pants just to impress subpar bitches you can get the same results from with a value meal from McDonald's.

Buying all these expensive gifts and going to expensive restaurants just to be broke at the end of the day and what's really funny is one of my brother's work a good job with a girl he's dating from that job and both make exactly the same amount of money. He pays for everything even her car insurance and phone bill and they only been talking for barely four or five months. For the first time, she paid for both of them to go to this romantic hotel for 80% off and he started telling us how he think she's the one and he got to marry her LBVS

He is to the fullest extent which is a shame because we've been friends since fifth grade but it is what it is. We actually got into a argument because the girl he is with now ex-boyfriend worked at the same job but when he got fired ol girl started sleeping with my friend telling him she don't give a fuck about Buddy and whatever happens happen and they have been sleeping together before she officially broke up with him and I was constantly telling home bro don't fall in love with her you going to lose her exactly how you got her but he think he's invulnerable to that so I'm just going to cut ties and wish him the best like you said.

You would think you would listen to me because the toxic woman he was with for 5 years cheated on him with a dude she knew from third grade mainly because he went on a family and friends trip with me and one of our friends sister he dated in third grade was there and she honestly thought that they would still have feelings for each other since they dating the third date so she purposely went to go fuck dude and I told him this was going to happen but that fool is headstrong for pussy

Bingo. I bought my current car as practice before I get something a bit nicer to restore. Currently have a 1995 grand am. Have since owning it: replaced the lockup torque converter and refreshed the 4t60e trans. Yanked the 3100 l82 m code motor and replaced all the gaskets and seals(especially those junky plastic intake manifolds that gm used), new water pump, deep belt and belt tensioner, replaced the ICM and cam sensors after the wiring was corroded from oil leak. Pulled and cleaned up the valvetrain, installed a new audio system(head unit, speakers wiring and so on, nice Kenwood set 900w total 200w rms). Replaced the front and rear struts/shocks, the rods and in the spring will replace the lower control arms, ball joints and bushings. Full custom exhaust system(u pipe section deleted in the down pipe), rebuilt rear brake drums and replaced wheel cylinders. 3800 v6 ignition coils. New window motors, started replacing interior seals and weather stripping. And probably a bunch of stuff im forgetting. Whole thing has been fun(albeit some blood sweat and tears of course) and best part? I thus have invested roughly 3,000 including cost of the car itself. Now half enough experience to pretty much do a restoration as I have to this car and now have a car that runs like new despite being 25 years old. I think all and all I got my money's worth.

Being suckered by PR and marketing -- the goal of which obviously is not to try to get you to want/buy a Veyron -- but rather so that you are "pleased" with, "impressed" by, and willing to indenture your arse (be a slave to the gynocentric system) in order to acquire a somewhat similar -- but obviously massively LOWER on the proverbial "totem pole" -- sporty/fancy "brand" vehicle.
