Washing dishes at Benigans ten hours a day with a couple hits of stimulants is good for the character and digs you out of poverty. Shitty restaurants are always hiring.

Do you have money, at least a few hundred dollars (more if in a high cost of living area)? If you do you can simply go by apartment complexes in your area and get one cheap and painlessly and move your stuff in that so you can get stabilized. Once you do you'll feel a lot better.

If you don't use your next paycheck for this.

Hi there, I am sorry to hear of your situation.

However it is good that you are at least sheltered from the elements in your car and that you have a source of income.

You may wish to pay for a secluded parking spot where you can feel safe while you sleep. When I was homeless that is one thing I wish I had.

If I were to give you some obvious advise, then join a health club or gym. There you can not only work out to get rid of the stress you are under but also shower before and after you get back from work.

Also find out where your local laundrette is and use it.

It's going to totally suck for a month or two but living this way you can quickly save for a place to stay, even a bedroom in a shared apartment.

You're going to look back at this as when your real life began. If you're living rough in your car, there will be tips from stealth campers. Basically keep a low profile, pull in late, leave early, always have a back-up plan. Keep your car as inconspicuous as possible, keep it tidy and in good repair and hide any signs that somebody's living in it. If you're parking on the streets, make sure the city doesn't have an overnight ordinance. Park on streets with apartment buildings, not single family residences. My favorite is streets next to freeways if other cars are parked there (use earplugs). Another good one is auto repair places that don't have a fenced lot but with customers' cars parked. You'll have to leave early am, but some of them are closed Sundays so you can go from Saturday night to Monday morning. And Walmart. Find a stable of at least a dozen safe spaces so you can rotate and not be in the same location more than once a week.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.If you can find a place to stay, all well and good. It may be time to change jobs for one that includes accommodation. I understand that working in the gas and oil industries include accommodation, so perhaps it's time to go in that direction.Alternatively, you could get your CDL and do overnight trips, while sleeping in your truck. Perhaps this was the kick start you needed.I got mine five years ago when I was made redundant.I became self employed and it was the best decision I made.I now earn more money, pay less tax and do less work. Oh and I walked off the plantation.....
