After living in SE Asia off and on since '09, I can assure you this is one of the most feminine dominated cultures in the world. The only difference is, third-wave feminism is only on the rise, and hasn't reached its full maturity like in the west.

There are many LGBTQ rallies in the major metropolitan areas. Metoo exists here as well.

Feminism is an inherently western concept. It's inception was in the US and slowly it spread to the rest of European civilization, and eventually the world. We adopted it because "the white people are doingbit, so it must be right", without considering its incompatibility with our cultures. As a result, I think Asia will have a slight delay in the onset, but the result will be the same as the west. Thus ultimately, the west will have to save itself, in order for us to save ourself.
