The following are the reasons

  1. They tend to pay better and have better conditions. This one is self explanatory. You get more for doing less.

  2. You will take more than you contribute. It’s very rare that a government employee is worth the amount of money they get. Working for the government, you will be a net negative for the society, which is great if you don’t like this society.

  3. Ironically, government jobs tend to be less politically correct environments. Go figure, but I found this to be the case, especially in male dominated sectors. Maybe since everyone assumes you’re a socialist they give you more leeway.

  4. It’s much harder to get fired. This flows from from 3. Saying something inappropriate included, it’s generally harder to get fired from a government/unionised position, hence you ironically have more freedom in the role than a private sector employee that can be dropped at the wif of a law suite.

  5. Women will always vote to increase the state. Which puts you in a win win. You can still vote the way you want, but now you don’t have to be discouraged if a leftist wins since it will just mean more money and security for you.

  6. You push a leftist out into the real workforce. By taking their position, now a leftist somewhere has to get a real job and pay taxes to support YOU, and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
