For me personally, the biggest confirmations of RP truths have often come from the women in my own family. Here is an AWALT example from Boxing Day.

My Grandma is nearly 80, and a widow since my grandfather died in 2010. On Boxing Day we had arranged to go out for a meal at midday with her, my father (parents are divorced), my 18 year old half sister (born out of a relationship my dad stupidly had with a complete bitch, thankfully long since over), my wife and myself. I had been at my mother's on xmas day and my car wouldn't start, so my step- father gave me a lift to my father's home and my father said he would take me and my wife home later as he doesn't drink.

My father goes out to pick up my half-sister and has a bad car accident, the car is a write off but fortunately he isn't injured, just a bit shaken up. As I don't have my car I ask my father's neighbour (a man I know well) if he can help and he readily agrees, he goes to get my dad and wait for the recovery truck.

The only person who can pick up my half-sister is my Grandma as I'm not insured to drive her car. Although she is getting on a bit, she's still in excellent health and mentally still very sharp ( possibly due to never doing a fucking days work in her life). I wanted to go and see my dad but she insisted I come with her to direct her to my half-sister house (her Granddaughter) even though she has been there before and has a sat-nav in her car! In the twenty mile round trip she complains non-stop about having to do this as she now can't have a drink later and she goes on for ages about how she fell over recently and had no-one to help her, this was apparently so much worse than the accident HER SON has just been in as he isn't injured. She isn't even remotely concerned about my father's welfare in the slightest, all she wants to talk about are her own inconvenience and issues. The blatant solipsism and lack of empathy were shocking to me.
