To paraphrase an old Japanese quote that I don't even remember all that well.

If you're going to speak, then speak.

If you're going to suck on a cough drop then suck on a cough drop.

Don't half-ass trying to do both while everybody else in the room has dedicated 100% to listening.

We have something similar in the west. "Don't try to talk with your mouth full. " or something like that.

Japan hasn't imported people that think differently than they do. They haven't watered down what their culture was meant to be.

It's kind of sad, I love the idea of pulling in marginalized people but if they aren't smart they turn into people that hate what they once yearned for.

Well, Japanese culture (like most Asian culture) disapproves of people acting out like fools and causes them to lose "face".

Actually, annoyingly enough, many times you'll get people that agree with you simply so they dont cause a commotion, so you really have to read into the context of the situation and not take their answer at face value.

I remember being taught that when having a discussion (this was when I was working overseas) that people will often say "yes" to a difficult or controversial question when they really want to say "no", but they don't want to lose face by disagreeing with you and looking like an ass (or by making you look like an ass). It's a culture of harmony or something.

I've had limited dealings with the Japanese. And even as a MGTOW I'm always taken back on how assertive they are with their women and 9/10 times the women seem to giggle and enjoy it.

Although, apparently Japanese women are still very much AWALT, just goes to show that marriage is what kills relationships.
