Treat her as a stranger whom you do not need and have no use for. Because guess what, that's what she wants and it's entirely up to you to grant her wish, IMHO. Chances are, once you start doing it, she'll "warm up" to you immensely. Once that happens, do NOT let her off the hook unless you you want the situation to go back to what you have now. P.S. I had an uncle like that who tried to treat me like shit until I returned the "favor". From then on, I saw him only at funerals and this year it was his own. He tried to get me back to his "normal" over years but I didn't bite. No regrets whatsoever...

Shit. My sister is in her 40s and what you describe. Glued to cell phone, FB and InstaNarcissism. Never met a woman who can talk all night about nothing but herself.

AWALT. When she needs you in the future, you'll know; don't let her use you like any other simp. I thought family was worth trusting, my younger sister proved that false. AWALT, including female relatives, they may be even worse because they see the family connection as a source for even more entitlement.

I grew up in a different era, but I would be pissed if my own sisters acted like this. Doesn't matter if we blame society/social media/etc., this is just wrong.

Where are your parents? With all due respect, they should notice this and teach your sisters to behave with respect and love for family.

Oh yeah i used to talk about anything with my sister, seriously anything.

That was until she was 12-13yo and it slowly started valuing her friends more and more, whom by the way only use her as they see fit yet shes oblivious to it.

Now that shes in college we never talk i prefer to ignore her or avoid her.

Treaat as youre treated. Fine by me.

Dont get me wrong it does sadden me but if a person, even family deems you unworthy of their time and only talks to you when they need something, cut them out.
